Can you upload a save game so I can try?

You might try bringing up the on-screen keyboard and pressing 'f' and 'return' on it to try and enable "keyboard fighting'

The save would be for the german version. Is that compatible with ur game? If yes than i can upload a save tomorrow. In indy 3 u can fight right after the beginning in the box ring

If I remember correctly, I used the virtual keyboard in Indy 4 to get past the fights, it isn't too hard (if you dont take the fighters path.. ;) ), not sure if you could beat Indy 3 with it though. :) (Might need inputs actually based on reflexes.)

But I've definitely played through Indy 4 on capsjustes switch scummvm build. ;)
(German version ;) And yes, saves should be compatible. Maybe.. ;) )

Ah now i realized that i can get the virtual keyboard when i press - . For indy 4 its ok because u can just press 0 for knockout. For indy 3 its not perfect but playable

capsjustes scummvm comes as an .nro that gets launched via hbmenu.
any tutorial to mod/hack the switch should guide you through installing hbmenu. .nros can then be placed in /switch/somename.nro or /switch/somefoldername/somename.nro (more subfolders are possible as well).

You can place the gamefiles wherever you want. Due to a small bug you could have read up on in this thread already, place them anywhere within the /switch/ folder. You can make any amount of subfolders and subfolderlayers you want.

No you dont place them as zip files, you place them as datafiles in extracted folders. A link to a list of datafiles should be in this thread at least twice already - lets make this three times, for people loving the personal service request treatment... https://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php?title=Datafiles

Also - (if you can) try this with a PC installation of scummvm first, if you have issues - think of doing that as your training wheels to learn how scummvm works.

Also - all of those questions can be considered 'rtfm' (= very basic) so next time try to solve them, or try them at all before asking - please.

Saying thanks - is no substitute for that, because it takes more effort on our end than on yours.

I did manage to get it working before noticing your reply, the data files I didn't know about so thanks for that.

Then thats whats wrong with this approach.

Try first. Ask second.

If you do it the other way around - you make some person work on your behalf to no avail. :/

:)

Also - as soon as you "get it", edit your message to reflect that - and to also state how you did it (for others that might be in a similar situation, coming upon your posting). At least thats what netiquette stated before smart(ohsosmart)phones became a thing. ;)

Sorry if its a stupid question, but which version is "better" to use? This standalone version or the one built into retroarch
