my kid was playing it for a while,
seat today to finish Shantee after a year or two but it wold not start, say user has been deleted, but i'ts not, same user on the console as before, tried running HB from the menu, it crashes error 199-9999, also on many other games
only WiiU games work nothing else
what should I do, how to update the haxchi and HB to work on 5.5.3
will I have to reinstall all of the games again ? or I can avoid it

fixed it, just info if someone has the same problem

1. open HB menu from borwserhax (online, could not find files with 5.5.2 exploit to host on my zsun, which now I use for PS4 )
2. install haxchi on the same DS game ( didn't had to remove it and re-downland the game again ) and
3. reinstalled CBHC to get cooldboot
and that it's all working as normal

congratulation, you just wrote a "WiiU hacking guide" in 3 steps ;)

Because, yeah, all you did is rehack the console by reinstalling CBHC.
You didn't need to reinstall haxchi first, you could have go to CBHC directly.
You also didn't need to do the browser hax again either, because you still had haxchi installed (the "do not touch me /!\" title is actually haxchi).

so, all you had/have to do to reinstall CBHC is :
- launch the homebrew launcher : either from browserhax, of by launching the "do not touch" title and selecting hbl in the menu.
- launch CBHC installer.

your steps was fine, you just added an unnecessary step.

Note that reinstalling CBHC is needed only for European WiiU, because of the GRPD law nintendo updated the system menu version, and it restored the autoboot information (it didn't delete CBHC channel, only the boot info). You only had to reinstall that boot information.
All non european WiiU don't have issues updating to 5.5.3

tried this, it did not work, got 199-99999 error

on discord I got tip that I only need to reinstall haxchi and will work, there was warning not to reinstall CBHC because there is a risk, but I did it anyway, because in time I would have forgot that I need to hold B while loading haxchi to boot into CFW,
since I do not game that often, have most of the consoles ( around 50 ) mainly collecting and modding hobby but rarely gaming on them, don't have too much free time ;)
and in several months, year, two would have wondered why the games are not working :rofl2::rofl2::rofl2:

and thanks on the EU consoles upgrade tip

I suppose the CBHC risk is in case you install it over a non legit NDS game. If you install the NDS game using WUP installer it'll have a fake ticket, and the title will not launch without CFW.
if you install CBHC on a title with a fake ticket, your console will not boot anymore (full brick).

I understand what you mean with forgetting how to use haxchi in few months/years, we quickly forget if we don't practice. though, with CBHC installed remember to never format your console or delete the account used to buy the NDS game!

I don't know what means the error code you got. well, then I guess the browserhax was the way to go :)
