Version 1.2.0 released

v 1.2.0
* Missing Content Type in Custom pattern of NSP
* Include option to split XCI files (right click on files -> split files) #88

Just want to report a bug, the trim function on this app corrupts my xci backup of Taiko no tatsujin. No issues with trimming the backup with xci explorer tho.
Can you please report that on github, please?

How can I use switch backup manager to use for my NSP/XCI games to check on what the latest available updates are?

Someone said:
"and yes starting v1.1.9 there's a new field for games latest updates
if you have switch certificate you can get the info directly from nintendo server, however if you don't have one, it'll still work but maybe a little outdated"

I use version 1.2.0 I can see which update are found and versions. but not which versions are most recent for that given game/update

Or am I missing something?

if you don't provide any certificate, it'll use the list that I provided as backup. however as I mention before, it needs to be updated manually so it maybe outdated
you can find the date of when the list was last updated in the options

I'll see if I can update the list later today, and after that you can download the update using the menu

I don't know how to aquire said certficate but thanks I hope you do update it!
I just checked it does work. But the newest version "tabs' are empty. Untill I click on some of them some appear.
Have to click many times to get something to pop up.

Is there a way to quickly see which updates need updating because a newer version is available? Like giving a colour or tag or something?

try again, I've updated the version list
yes it's a known issue. still can't find a way to fix that, but if you exit and relaunch the app then it'll work fine

as for you request, let's ask @GibaBR to do that. maybe he can also fix the issue above while he's at it. UI thing is not where I'm good at

Latest CDNSP-GUI-Bob can check updates without cert, its possible to implement this function here ?
CDNSP Gui Bob use similar method. get the list from nintendo server and store it somewhere
the only difference is he automate the process while I do this manually :)

I am having a couple issues with the Auto Rename.

1. Using custom rename, some titles are getting sceneid 0000:
2018-11-19 23:45:27.241 [INFO] Old name: 0000 - Bass Pro Shops The Strike - Championship Edition () - 1.0.0.xci. New name: 0000 - Bass Pro Shops The Strike - Championship Edition () - 1.0.0.xci

2. XCIs of multiple versions seem to not be working correctly. For example ARMS and ARMS rev002. The original is recognized, but rev002 is ignored. It actually shows it is already added in the log, but they definitely have unique CRC. Is this because they share the same Title ID?
2018-11-19 23:58:42.022 [DEBUG] searching for 0100F6C00641C000 on database.
2018-11-19 23:58:42.040 [INFO] 0100F6C00641C000 was already on database. Ignoring.
EDIT: Oh wow, I have been lurking for 12 years :ninja:

can you post a screenshot where the ARMS XCI shown in the list?

misread your post earlier and thought you were asking why ARMS rev002 is not recognized in the scene list
that was because nswdb not having firmware info for ARMS (rev002), and we use that information to find which revision it is. BTW it's firmare 4.1.0

Just out of curiosity, is the firmware requirement listed in recent XCI games accurate? I see that's it's *all* at 5.1.0 for v1.2.0 of switch backup manager

yea, but both revisions are already in the list, so what's the error?

The main thing is that it identified them as the same scene id. It should be 0003 and 1087. Also, I wasn't sure, but how to I get the v002 number in the filename for auto rename? This may just be an issue with the XML. Right now I am having to use the Game Revision to make the filenames unique.

oh that
then it's because of the reason I mentioned earlier. nswdb does not have firmware information for ARMS rev002. we can't fix it on the app side, need nswdb to update their xml

Working fine with xci files.

Hey I'm getting an issue with all my nsp files. they don't get any sceneid number just 0000 on all of them. Is it just me or everybody else?

It's possible to retrieve what games are installed on the SD card? Not the nsp/xci on the card, but the games that I installed.

It would be a nice thing have an option to select a bunch of games and sent to SD only the ones that aren't installed.

Or an option to scan the games installed and copy to SD the latest updates available locally

How i'm supposed to use it ?

It's only present in the source zip no in the final release ...
extract these files from the source zip to your Switch Backup Manager directory
  • allgames.xslt
  • games.xslt
  • index.html
  • missinggames.xslt
  • transform.ps1
then open PowerShell and run
Code:
cd your-switch-backup-manager-directory
.\transform.ps1

if you get this error
.\transform.ps1 : File your-switch-backup-manager-directory\transform.ps1 cannot be loaded because running scripts is
disabled on this system. For more information, see about_Execution_Policies at
https:/go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=135170.
At line:1 char:1
+ .\transform.ps1
+ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
+ CategoryInfo : SecurityError: (:) [], PSSecurityException
+ FullyQualifiedErrorId : UnauthorizedAccess

then you'll need to run this first
Code:
Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned -Scope CurrentUser

after that you'll find an index.html file where you can open it using the browser
