I have a newer Xbox 360 Slim which came with the XKey system already installed and for a long time it would work fantastically. Made ISOs of my games and put them on an HD, hooked it up and -- no problems. This X360 has been updated from Xbox Live -- that's for sure but the Xkey and the HD would work no problem. One thing that never worked is booting it with the EJECT button, which is supposed to let you play original games, however that never seemed to work. When I hook everything up now, the xbox just says OPEN DISC instead of changing to MIXED MEDIA. Tried original ini file, tried with USB key plus made sure hard drive is fine on the PC - it is. While I was given a xkey dongle, the thing had such a loose connection that I never ended up using it.
I am not quite sure how to troubleshoot this one - I still have my X360USB from the iXtreme package but not sure if that will help. Maybe a cable came loose? While I did my own work on all the IXtreme modifications, all that experience was on a x360 PHAT (a banned one at that), never have I opened an X360 Slim, let alone install xKey. Just want some guidance on what my options are. I am pretty sure the system should work, so maybe something small is the road block.
