I did read your full post and told you that anecdotes don't help and we shouldn't answer questions based on anectodes.
I get where you're coming from, put considering the type of thread we're in, the question asked, and the fact that I explicitely state my answer to be anecdotal, you have to admit you came on a little strong. It could have been done with a milder tone.

Finally got banned. Had SX OS since release but going online with Let's Go Pikachu was the final straw for Nintendo imo. Sucks, my little cousins won't be able to play Fortnite when they come over.

Hey man, maybe i missed it but what do you mean with going online with Lets Go Pikachu? Like did you pirate the game (XCI) and went online with that XCI? Or just played the XCI and after that you went online?

I have played my XCI games offline and then updated them/went to eshop/youtube without CFW, so what did you do, exactly?

Yep went online with an XCI in SX OS, it was my fault 100%... I was doing what you mentioned above for months without playing online with cfw... smh it was like an impulse thing

Damn, yeah sorry about that. At least i think it is an indicator that Ninti cant really tell if you dont go online cause its not a coincidence... I think.

Anyway, thanks man.

Using a pokémon let's go xci and pokémon go transfert can result to a ban ?
Maybe Pkmn GO can identify that the game is a xci played on the console with XXX...XX for ID and then, Nintendo can ban that Switch ? Idk :/

Pokemon GO uses a BlueTooth connection to connect to Pokemon Let's Go. Meaning it doesn't make use of any Wi-Fi network and realistically, there is no functional difference between an .XCI and .NSP file. So I'm pretty sure Niantic doesn't care whether you own the copy or not, and since the connection is local, I don't see any reason for them to verify the copy. But in the rare less than 1% chance you or someone else gets banned for doing this, please let me know.

for sure. I think if I never turned off stealth I'd still have access. The only thing I really miss was the convenience of updates in OFW. Now I gotta stay up to date on which games have updates

To clarify, I didn't mean I used pokemon GO connection, I mean I literally was just perusing all the menus and connected to wi-fi just to see if I could. I could. Was banned 1-2 days later. Most people wouldn't have turned off stealth mode but I figured I'd share my story just in case others have done the same or have thought about doing the same. I feel like local trades/battles is the way to go and pokemon go transfer should be fine esp if you don't ever connect to Nintendo while hacked.

Thanks again. So you checked if you could go online while playing Pokemon Lets GO XCI on SX OS, right? So would be "safe" to say that i shouldnt connect to WiFi while on SX OS, but i could while on OFW.

I want to play Lets GO really bad. I thought i wouldnt like it but i played it on my brother Switch and its really cool. Thing is i dont want to risk it with Smash so damn close. Maybe i should make a NAND backup and play Lets GO offline and before Smash just restore.

yep went online with a XCI pretty sure has no cert on SX OS. I would advise you not make the same mistake I regret and connect to wifi on SX OS. Keep Stealth Mode on at all times period, it's on by default every time you go into SX OS, if you don't want to be banned keep it on lol. I was always connected to the internet on OFW. Maybe I was apart of a bigger ban wave but I think it has more to do with my console being flagged for coming online with a no cert LGP. I don't personally think it's mandatory to do NAND backup etc to play the game offline with SX OS but I'm the banned one lol nand backup is the only safeguard from a ban, right? I'd also look into the tutorials section for a thread on how to set up Emunand and still go online on Sysnand if you trust SX's emunand solution. Yep I think I mentioned that Smash might be the reason I might get a second Switch but not until I play it on this *ALERT*restricted*ALERT* switch lol.

So I just bit the bullet and traded a pokémon from an NSP (Banned Switch) to my retail copy on my Hax Free Switch locally and it worked with no issues. I did have to turn off Airplane Mode though. So I guess as long as the Mons are "legal" and your Switch is Hax free you won't get banned? Well, let's see if I get a ban in the next few days. I won't buy any download games for now and see if anything happens. If I do get banned, well a new Switch Tablet only costs about 190 € on eBay.

With all the compromised switches nowadays I wouldn't trust any Switch off of Ebay or any second hand marketplace. What's to stop somebody from buying a new Switch, creating a backup, and putting it up for sale. Whenever that person wants to do something risky, they simply restore the image of the Switch they sold on Ebay, do their thing, and then afterwards they can restore the original image. I heard somebody talking about this on this forum last week.

I plan on getting two switch tablets just for that. Please update us if you get banned.

Need to ask the question here. I got banned last week on my switch with 2181-4008 (I guess permanent certificate ban) so my console is completely banned but I could unlink my main account from the switch. If I buy a new one and link the account, will I get banned again on the new one?

So, in the light of the recent SXOS SD Emunand development, what do NOT YET BANNED people like @Aniblaze , @datnodude , @LucioDragon , @Ch0pst1x and @Elliott1986 reckon they do now? Continue with safe XCI gaming or update to SD Emunand for some expanded features? I just went back a couple of pages to gather some peeps who have been using SXOS with the least possible tinkering: Absolute clean sysnand, only using XCIs, never been online, no layerdfs, no devmenu, no installed NSP:s, no homebrew... What are your thoughts? I am quite satisfied with this method myself, especially when there has been development in the area of nsp>xci conversion and repacking xci+updates+dlc. But I do eventually want to expand the homebrew area with emulation and the like, so SD sysnand sounds interesting. I'm gonna hold on for some bit however, to learn from the experience of others.

I am definitely thinking of using SD emunand. The beta release was yesterday, so I'm waiting for a little bit until they work out all of the bugs. SD emunand is the safest way of doing things I believe. A copy of your OS running on an external resource that can be removed at any time to boot into OFW, without a trace being left on the device of your violations of the ToS. They really upped their game.

If Nintendo pushes a new firmware release, then I might try out the beta first.
