So I decided to restore my first NAND backup. I was going to update to 6.1 using the CDN because ChoiDuJour keeps bricking my system. I pulled out my original backup. At that point I had only ran Pegaswitch a few times. I haven't been online since I made that backup. I updated to 3.0.1 using my SMO cart(fuses were already at 3.0.1) but my save is gone! I forgot to back it up! DOH! Whats my best strategy? I am concerned that too many NAND restores may be bad for my console. Just restore the backup that I made a week ago, use edison or checkpoint or whatever to backup the saves, then restore my cleaner backup and restore the saves? or should I extract the saves with hacdiskmount? It looks risky...

Also Do you think the 1337 error code, from pegaswitch is in my records somewhere? how to check? If so I may be banned already. Haven't been online.

What would you do?

I'm not sure how to view the logs. Honestly at this point, you might as well get another switch if you want to play online. Nintendo is unpredictable. Not trying to scare you or anything but who knows....you might be banned already!! Now, I would recommend restoring the NAND backup that you have (Yea I know...it's gonna take a while). Save the game saves with Checkpoint (or Edizon...your choice). Upgrade to 5.1.0 via ChoidujourNX because there's no point being on 3.0. Make a NAND backup of 5.1.0 then Upgrade to 6.1.0.

I'm currently run ReiNX 6.1.0 and have no issues. everything works as it should for me. BTW I'm banned lol.

coidujourNX bricks my switch if I install 5.1 or 6.1, tried lots of sources for the ios files ,sd cards, CFW's IDK.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

That's how this all started. I figured I would go back to my oldest restore and use the official updater in system settings and try that. I can still make it fuseless anyway. use a jig while updating and hold +...

I was on 3.0.1., fuses at 3.0 and I used CHOI to so to 3.0.2 no problem. I tried to go to 5.1 and I get a freeze on boot at the switch logo. . Restored NAND. Tried running HBL to boot Choi under SXOS, REI, RAJ and Atmosphere. Same freeze on Switch logo. I tried getting the IOS iles from a few sources. Always the same result. So I went to my first NAND backup. Forgot to backup saves. I still have a nand backup with the saves. I figured all I did on this NAND when I made the backup was 3 or 4 pegaswitch sessions. So ill use it to update to 6.1 so I can play recent games. It's my least risky NAND backup to go online with,,I guess I have to restore my most recent NAND backup. Bsckup saves, Restore old backup. Update through ninty. And restore again. Ill probably get banned anyway but maybe I can update to play newer titles. Ill do it fuseless.

That is soooo weird. Watch this video real quick. Follow it to a tee and let me know if it works for you. Also, let me know if you need FW.

I told you how it works out. It bricks my Switch. I have seen that video.
Well...try the method what you were thinking. Definitely let me know if it works out. Also, as soon as you update, boot into hekate and enable autoRCM if you can. Worse case scenario, the system boots normally and you burn fuses. You'll still be alright if that happens. Just make a NAND backup again. Good luck
