since im only in rcm mode thanks to autorcm i have to load it via usb3.0 first and thats is amazing slow 1 hour or too^^

cant start it without pcvia usb3.0 connected and thats the reason i cant use the switch charger for the first time....

So, let's say i create Emunand using 15gb. The rest of the memory will be used by the ofw, right?
What if i restore factory settings on ofw, will that not affect Emunand? Or the Switch will only be able to see/use whatever free space is left after Emunand is created?

Yeah you're right. If you factory reset the ofmw won't affect the shadow nand and you must separate the two cause they share the same Nintendo folder. If you don't do this, all your game will have crashes and freezes or they will be wiped away.PS if you search in the guides you will find a tutorial for this, check out Youtube too, there are a couple of videos showing step by step the process ;)

Right, Emunand sorted. Question: can i just use a memory card for Emunand and a different one/ no mem card for the ofw? I don't play online and only have a few Switch games wich i have completed already so not really need the space in ofw.

Yes, you can do this way, two different SD cards and you are good to go! ;)

I have some nsp's installed, but I have a clean nand backup 5.1 (current OFW version installed)

What´s the best way to create emunand?

Restore the backup, format the sd card / system and create emunand?

If I want to go online in OFW will I have to upgrade to 6.0.1?

Remembering that I didn´t go online with the nsp's, only xci ...

Thank you!

I'm running into problem where my games are not detected anymore if I boot to sysNand by accident, and I have to reinstall my NSP games AGAIN every time I do that. Does anyone know what is causing this reason?

Thanx for your info. It gave me courage to try it and now I have 6.1.0 on my 25GB emunand while still being on a 5.1.0 sysnand :D
I re-initialized my 5.1.0 nand, erased all traces of prior use, and even formatted my 256GB EVO. I then backed up my 5.1.0 nand (very important) using SXOS 2.2.1 beta, then I created the 25GB emunand which I also backed up and then I used ChoiDujourNX 1.0.1 to update it to 6.1.0, and backed that up too. So, I have 3 backups: 5.1.0 nand, 5.1.0 emunand and 6.1.0 emunand. I verified how many burnt fuses I had before starting (6 with 5.1.0). After the procedure, I verified again and I still had 6 burnt efuses, SO YOU ARE DAMN RIGHT!

Many thanks :toot:

EDIT: I forgot to mention, when you boot into sysnand everything is like before (5.1.0), but when you boot into SXOS emunand (6.1.0) you will get a prompt to update your controllers.
For now, I'm not updating them. So minor inconvenience there. Maybe, Xecuter can patch that out in their next update?

Hi All,
I just tried to run ChoiDujourNX on sx os via homebrew, but "firmware" is not showing up as a folder but a blank file icon, does anyone know how I can fix this to be able to select the folder and choose the firmware files inside? Thank you in advance!

You just select the folder with the firmware files in by touching it and then press the button to confirm you want to use that folder on the bottom right and it will scan the folder and find the firmware files. If it doesn't do that you haven't copied the folder across properly. I take it you have unzipped it?

solved my problem by unzipping firmware file with pc. now i have 6.0.0 on emunand, but want to re-format my microsd to expat. Not sure how emunand works but can I just backup all the files on my microsd and put them back after formatting to expat? will that work or I will lose emunand? :) Thanks in advance!
