Anyone knows how risky is to connect Pokemon Lets Go and Pokemon Go with a modified Switch?
My Switch is in Stealth mode and the games connect just by Bluetooth but when doing it, it shows a message saying that some kind of information will be sent to Nintendo and I am afraid to do it

hi guys, I wanted to know if using SX OS I get banned if I go online to use legit games or to update the console. thank you
From someone who has actually been using SX OS, and not someone who hates SX OS for being a paid solution: I've been using SX OS from June until now. I've played backups in SX OS (XCI only, no NSP!), while having removed my internet settings and being in airplane mode simultaneously. Whenever I needed to update backups, or wanted to play online with one of my legitimate games, I booted back into official firmware without restoring a clean NAND backup. I never go online with my backups! I make sure that no internet connection is possible while I'm in SX OS. This means I remove my internet setting in OFW before booting into SX OS. We're closing in on december now, and I have not yet been banned. Last time I went into the e-shop to check if I was banned, was yesterday. It all still works.

My anecdotal lesson from this is as followed:
#1 Only use XCI files. Don't use/install NSP's, unless you're willing to restore a clean NAND every time you want to go online. This also means having to separately backup your saves, and restore them when you install all of the NSP's again. NSP's leave fake tickets on your device, which stay there even after having removed the game. This was proven to cause bans, and Team-Xecutor (TX) discourages the use of it, despite providing the option (at your own peril).
#2 Never go online in SX OS. Never. Remove your internet settings and disable wifi prior to booting into SX OS.
#3 Don't immediately update to a new firmware, unless TX gives the ok that you can do so on the same or newer revision of SX OS.
#4 There's always a chance that in the future, Nintendo adds new telemetry that allows them to detect all the wrong things I did. I am taking into account that some day, I might be banned. But for now, I seem to be safe.

That does not mean much of anything, I ran cfw with 24/7 active internet connection, downloaded updates for pirated games, used layeredfs, homebrew etc. had over 100 error codes & it took Nintendo 4 months to ban me

Look, we need to stop giving people hope or false advice based on anecdotal evidence. Because if we did, this would be mine:

Before SX OS was released, I used LayeredFS to run backups. I then used SX OS when it was released up to version 1.3 or 1.4 (can't remember exactly). Used dozens of .xci files, was online with SX OS like a madman (i.e. all the time) and used SX OS and Horizon to update my titles online. I later switched to ReiNX and therefore switched to nsp files exlusively (which people claim will be an instaban). I was still largely online, checked the eshop for new releases, etc. - I just didn't update my games using the system but update nsp files.
I run homebrew regularly, I cleared my logs using hekate which people claim will be cause a ban. I never used stealth mode (as it was introduced after i ditched SX OS) or any DNS up until a month ago. I updated my system online using OFW. Yet, I am not banned (as of last week, at least).

We need to curb people's enthusiam.

If you're hacking your system, you are running a very likely risk of getting banned. It might happen when you run CFW or homebrew just once, or you might be flying under Nintendos radar for months.

If you're not willing to accept having your system banned or it's very important to you not having your system banned, don't hack it.

There should be a bot that whenever someone makes a topic with the word "ban" and it ends with a "?" it should auto reply "YES" and close the thread.

How is what I said false advice? I merely stated my experience with SX OS, and explicitely stated my 'anecdotal lesson' from the usage of it. Note that my text even reads 'anecdotal', to underline that it's my experience alone. I even made a point that it's entirely possible for me to get banned in the future despite my efforts. I don't understand your demeanor towards me. It's like you didn't read my full post and just went on a rant.

I have 2 switches running sx-os both with nsp's installed. I've been able to update games and update firmware on both and I'm not banned yet. However I only go online with OFW and I only go online to do the updates. Right after the update is done I delete my wifi settings and don't go back online till the next time I need to update something. This has worked for me so far.

Hey guys,

I copped Let's Go Eevee with Pokéball Plus at my local Gamestop today and really don't want to buy the Pikachu version too. I do own 2 (1 with CFW and 1 Hax Free) Switches. The 1 with CFW got banned because of my stupidity but local trading should still be possible. So my question is: can I trade from an NSP copy to my legit one? Or does that leave my Hax Free Switch vulnerable for a ban. I really don't want to get 2 copies of the same game just for Trade Evos and Version Exclusive Mons. A second game I will probably not play anytime soon.

Thanks in Advance.

Should be fine as long as the Pokemon don't look like they were hacked. A general rule of thumb is as long as its virtually possible, its safe. A Pokemon with perfect IVs, while next to impossible, can certainly be obtained without hacking. However, if your Sableye has Wonder Guard, then its pretty obvious what happened.

So I was an idiot and didn't delete my Wi-Fi settings when switching to 90DNS. After being away from my switch awhile, I turn it on and saw one of my backups downloaded an update while I was in Atmosphere since my connection got lost and it reconnected to my actual Wi-Fi network. I have a feeling I'm going to get banned but I'm scared to check, how likely do yall think it is that i'm banned

Additional Comments

Finally got banned. Had SX OS since release but going online with Let's Go Pikachu was the final straw for Nintendo imo. Sucks, my little cousins won't be able to play Fortnite when they come over.

I have a question for the rest of the banned switch owners. How do I remove the featured news sidebar coming out of display off? With stealth mode SX OS I'd have the news like this, stuck in time, but when I'd boot into OFW for updates or Fortnite, the news would update so it was a feature I didn't mind. Now being banned, it's like a reminder of my mistake everytime I turn on my Switch from sleep lol. I got all the channels unfollowed except the Nintendo Switch Information Center. Is there no way to unfollow this channel? Does it just disappear after the news is like a week old? I'm pretty sure I've seen Switch video capture of wake from sleep with no news on the sidebar or maybe that's just docked idk. Any help would be appreciated. I used Google and search on here but "news" is a hard one to search. Googled "Nintendo Switch Information Center" and the first reddit thread might indicate I'm shit out of luck with this question but I thought I'd ask because someone might have a solution I've overlooked

I was pretty careful in the time between SX OS and this ban so haven't really been paying any attention to layeredfs and .nsp scene. I got the banned switch Youtube .nsp with screenshot abilities so my last question is are there any other .nsps or quality of life hacks I should do now that my Switch is banned? I remember talk about a Retroarch .nsp past few weeks, is that more powerful or something. Hoping we get some crazy progress on the net-lan-play/SX OS kip module support so multiplayer for banned users isn't extremely out of reach outside of the 5-7 lan compatible games in the future.

Ban feels a little bit freeing tbh. I don't plan on buying another Switch just yet because I mainly game on PC and didn't play much multiplayer on Switch anyways. Only reason I bought the Switch was because fusee gelee was starting to pop off and people were already worried about exploit patched units so I thought I'd grab one before it was too late. I remember for a while hackable firmware 3DS were scalpers playground and didn't want to go through that with the Switch on some FOMO. Personally totally worth the ban when I scroll through SX OS USB HDD like "monetary" value wise. I'll test out Smash and if I feel like I wanna no life it and play online I might cop a clean Switch for NSO connectivity but for now I'll just take the loss. I knew what I signed up for.
