Devil May Cry will be receiving an animated series by the Netflix Castlevania producer

In an exclusive interview with IGN, Adi Shankar, the producer of the Netflix exclusive Castlevania animated series, revealed that he will be working on a Devil May Cry series adaptation. Whether or not this will also be a streaming/Netflix exclusive series has not been announced, but it may be likely due to the success of his Castlevania cartoon, which has just been renewed for a third season on the platform. Shankar also shared an image on his Twitter, seen above, with the caption, "open for business".

Never played that game, is it good?
I'm a Zelda fan, would it fit my tastes?
Devil May Cry is a good series and it has absolutely nothing to do with Zelda. It's a hack and slash (or character action game/spectacle fighter if those phrases mean anything to you). It's similar to Bayonetta, Metal Gear Rising and other Platinum games like those.

Judging by the picture of that dude it looks like it's going to be a hippie goth dystopian rainy city show. I doubt the show will actually be dante charging towards groups of bad guys and whaling as if he is button mashing

They're sort of the same genre, but not quite. DMC is a lot more focused on doing cool combo's while not getting hit, and regular enemies are actually threatening, while hyrule warriors is more "mash attack buttons to kill thousands of enemies".

While I'm loving the Castlevania series so far, I'm not sure how well Devil May Cry would fit that animation style. Of course, if they do make it, I'll give it a shot and hope it's good. The old Devil May Cry show was really enjoyable, but way too short.

Please don't. The first animated series was decent, but the animation style of Castlevania is so stupid.
agreed, alucard's face is just too... weird. heck, everyone looks weird. but everything else is good though. I think they are trying to force too much realism in the character design.

I haven't played DMC but played Bayonetta, stylish action game can be fun if you like to mash buttons. I had fun with bayonetta but my hand got tired really quick.
