Hey guys, I just wanted to update my Nintendo Switch to the latest Firmware via ChoiDujourNX.
Unfortunately I can't hit the "select firmware" button to start the update process.
(Im using a Switch with SX OS and a exFat formatted microSD card)

Most likely you are using macOS or transferred files via FTP. Now they have archive attributes. You can remove them in the hekate menu in the Tools section or with the command "sudo chflags -R arch <folder>" in the terminal.

You can disable it afterwards, sure, but then you'd just end up burning the fuses upon the next boot. There is little point in just enabling it for the update itself, because the fuses will be at risk of being burned each and every time you boot up the switch without autoRCM enabled.

In other words, you can technically enable autoRCM for the update itself, remove it afterwards, and then just manually enter RCM each time you boot up the Switch, but there is no point in that XD.

TL:DR: If you know you don't to use AutoRCM in the long run, don't use it in the first place. Just remember that if you don't, you have to manually enter RCM mode upon each boot.
lets see if i got this straight. i can enable autoRCM with sxos, update fw using choujo without enabling autoRCM from choujo(cause its already enabled from sxos) and disable it from sxos after update is complete. you are saying that everytime i boot into rcm afterwards (using a jig) ill be at risk of burning efuses? i dont mind booting to RCM with the jig.

No you don't have it straight at all.

If you don't want autorcm then don't bother installing it on sxos or choidujournx. But you will never be able to downgrade your console to a firmware that has a different number of fuses set (6.10 to 6.00 should be ok, but no further back).

Your extra steps of enabling it and disabling it during the update makes no difference whatsoever. As soon as you boot your console without loading RCM first, you will burn the firmware version fuses.

AFAIK there is no difference between sxos or choidujournx autorcm & when you update with choidujournx it will overwrite the sxos autorcm anyway (either enabling it or disabling it based on what you select).

autorcm makes booting into RCM easier and makes it impossible to boot your console without going to RCM.

Newest version is actually 6.1.0. But yes, you can just update directly to that.

Listen, I know I am a complete idiot.. I didnt make a nand backup before running hacks and such and now I am stuck on the nintendo switch boot screen. I have now made a nand backup using hekate. From my understanding, at this point my backup is considered a damaged nand backup.

My question is how do I rebuild my nand using choidujourNX? I have another hacked switch(if I need that to do so), and the console I am having issues with goes to rcm just fine.(if that matters)

I attempted to boot a game that required a higher firmware and it crashed my console right away and powered it off. Again, I know I am an idiot. I am just wondering if someone with a bit more knowledge in this can point me in the right direction

You don't rebuild your NAND with ChoiDujourNX, you rebuild your NAND with ChoiDujour.

Hey, I just tried to update my Switch from 5.0.2 to 6.1.0 because Pokemon Let's Go Eevee wasn't working for my system. I figured it might be because I was on a lower firmware and decided to update my firmware offline.
I downloaded the 6.1.0 files from a google drive url and installed it thru Choidujournx and everything went smoothly however when I went to the System Settings, the current version number doesn't appear.
Anyone know why that is?

You need to update the SD fies.
If u r using Reinx u need to put the new version of it on the sd and use the new payload file pretty sure same goes with other CFW as well since the CWF need to be updated to be compatible.

I'm using ChoiDujourNX to update firmware to 5.1.0 frm reinx. I don't see the option to enable autorcm. Where is it?

I just upgraded from 5.1.0 to 6.1.0 w/ exFat support.
Worked flawless. Using latest ReinX ("spooky edition"). I didn't get an ootion to choose autoRCM, (or at least it wasn't obvious), but it was enabled by default and all went smooth.

I have the same ReiNX. I'm a bit affraid to try it without this option. First post shows version with this option but version 1.0.0 and 1.0.1 doesn't show it.

You needn't worry about this. I'm 99% sure that AutoRCM will be enabled by default when using ChoiDujourNX. that's the whole point of using it to Update/Downgrade (Aside from a second way to upgrade if you are banned).

should i worry about downgrade possibilities?
or it only "works" for devs/geeks?

i remember AutoRCM causes problem before and i didn't use it (still manually applied the hack)
Thanks!

So, I just ordered my first jig and I've got one question: I'm on 3.0.0, when I update to say, the newest firmware, will I still be able to run my Zelda: BOTH cartridge or will I have to downgrade just to do so?
