Many many crash here (I need to reboot the Switch), unplayable for me. Using both, forwarder for the game only or HBM, same results. Using HBM 3.0 and latest SXOS.

No crashes using Atmosphere and hbmenu 3.0.0 on 6.0.1 either (Apart from the one on choosing quit).

4-5 hours (approximately) put into playing Half Life.

Date of all save files is 1970 on Atmosphere as well, also always resets with restart of xash3d to the same hour, so save file sorting doesnt work. Ingame time counter also resets on every restart.

With saving and loading there is a thing, where the select indicator might be on "Save" or "Load" or something else - but in reality it isnt. You use the left joystick to navigate it over the selection, and use left/right on the left joystick to navigate between the savegames (then up down to select) and the "Save" "Load" buttons. Meaning, Save or load might be selected, even though it isnt. Select it "twice" and it works.

Saving and loading works fine though. (Even in addition to leaving the program by just hardquitting it.)

If you guys are on exfat with corrupt file systems, dont blame us - we've told you multiple times to switch to fat32 by now (If you hardquit while xash3d was saving - thats your fault). If you use SX OS and have issues - we dont care, because we have no interest in supporting SX OS either.

If you are moving over now - use fat32 with 32k clustersize (as in 32 thousand something something). 32k is the biggest fat32 clustersize supported by the switch without issues (its therefore the "fastest").

It works very well with exFat formatted cards. I am running it on my 128GB exFat formated Sandisk!
That's strange, on my exfat sd you couldn't get past the menu, you could navigate the menu, but you had to press down like 10 times in order for the cursor to move once, and it would freeze when you select anything, so I formatted to fat32 and it worked fine.

It works just fine on my exFat formatted card either. I'm 3 hours in and no "major" issues so far.

On 0.2.0 running on Atmosphere HBL 3.0.0 on 6.0.1 there is now a regression.

If you launch xash3d from "gallery" HBL, and simply press the home button to exit - the system now hard crashes, and you have to reboot. If you use quit within the app - same error profile.

If you use the hbmenu nsp to launch HBL it it will only softcrash on exit (so thats fine).

Also - the icon doesnt seem circular. It might just be an optical illusion (I havent measured it.. ;) ) but if it is squeezed, please fix - it triggers my OCD hard... ;) *jk*

I am aware of the hard crash and it is documented in the release notes. But the current behavior is more in close with the correct usage of libnx, and reviewing the stack trace it seems to be the hbmenu process causing the cash. But this is probably triggered by not closing / freeing something. Exiting using the home screen + close software should be fine on both afaik.

Ng.

Its just, that it halfs your potential userbase to people who have hbmenu nsp installed. Because no one will keep up with a hardcrash on homebrew.. ;)

I'm fine with it (I use hbmenu nsp) - keeping it that way until one of the next releases is also fine I think, but make this a priority.. ;) Theres nothing that turns people off quicker, than having to hard reboot their switch every time they used a certain homebrew. :)

Exiting to homescreen and close software works (only soft crash), but then you need hbmenu nsp for that. If you only use gallery as your HBL launcher - gallery hard crashes right now (trying to exit to homescreen).
