I'm looking for a 100% Super Smash Bros. for Wii U save, in either a SaveMii or Saviine format (I believe they are the same). My previous Wii U died, so now that I'm building my new one up again, I was going to grab the 100% save listed on the 100% Save Thread, but it doesn't work with the latest update v.1.1.7 (or v304). Can anyone help me?

Not sure if this will work. But I would try to delete the update data for smash bros. Then inject the your save, then try start the game, which should then try to update it and hopefully your save will update too. Again, not sure it will work but worth a try.
Tried that for the 1.1.6 Update, the one I believe it was on when I installed it, but you can't create a fresh save on 1.1.6 to swap out because it forces you to update in order to open it. I tried NNU-Patcher to try and bypass it but it didn't work, so I am out of ideas.
I have all of the characters but not sure if it's 100%...I could dump my save easily enough. Though could you not delete the update data and them download the update version you need from the CDN, install it using WUP installer, inject your save and then update either by downloading the newest update data using CDN or via the Wii U as normal?
Edit just realized you have to launch the game for saviine...will it not launch on a lower version even if the Wii U is offline. ?...offer still stands...I have most things unlocked (probably a ways off as far as the trophy collection is concerned , but I have all of the stages and characters) but I think as long as you can launch the game you should be able to inject the save and the update. Are you getting a software update nag or a fw update nag? (I think the latter is impassable and won't allow you to launch whereas the former will allow you to launch and simply pass on updating l - not 100% confident but pretty close)
To clarify
- take Wii U offline
- delete update data
- update using appropriate version from CDN and wupinstaller
- launch and create save so you have a common save file - because I think Saviine has trouble injecting it (personally only used saviine for Zelda save editing but I remember reading smash is finicky)
-inject only the unique save file - it should overwrite the original
~I would launch and test it while still offline but that's up to your own preference
-you can then either install newest update date using WUP installer or update normally
This is of course contingent upon whether the game will launch...I've noticed Minecraft updates pretty regularly and won't allow you to launch unless you update. My machine gives me the system firmware nag though as my fw is spoofed (At which point I use NNU patcher and I just update) though if it isn't online to check for the update I would assume you wouldn't even get the update nag as I ONLY get the fw nag when there is a software update - otherwise the game just launches

I tried that, I deleted the update data, installed 1.1.6 via Wii U USB Helper and WUPInstaller GX2, and deleted my wireless settings. It refused to open so I could create a fresh save, so I just went ahead and tried to inject the save with SaveMii Mod anyways and it didn't work after I updated and launched the title. And saviine would not work because the title needs to be launched in order to send/receive the signal to/from my computer. I mean if there was a way I could spoof game updates, I know how to edit stuff on my MLC with FTPiiU Everywhere.
Do you have a common file? I've never used savemiimod...are installing just the unique file? Also...when you say it doesn't work....you installed it, upgraded and launched it, what happened?

Didn't check I remember trying to, but on my old Wii U I never injected the common save, because Saviine couldn't physically inject the common save. However, I would like to point out that I installed the game update before I deleted my wireless settings to take my Wii U offline.
I think taking the Wii U offline as the first step may be the crux of the matter. If you're offline and then start from zero; I.e. have no save and no update data and then install the update the game should not throw the update nag because how would it know there is one?

Nah I'd like to leave the few things I haven't come across lost until found 
(one bloody shrine!) I used save editing to get amiiBo exclusive armor and weapons and frig with weapon stats, etc...now I just use botw trainer and gecko to do it while in game
...but tell you what it you're successful, after you update, dump your save and share
