Hi all,
I have had a Wii U with CBHC and all running fine (on 5.5.2 I think), and my wii u found an update.
I have checkerd here if it is fine to update to 5.5.3, and found out that it is ok, but that the wii must be rehacked.

So I updated to 5.5.3, and booted Homebrewloader to install Haxchi, and pressed "A" to install CBHC. I have choosen the VC title (and I think I selected the one which I have not bought but used for running Loadiine from Homescreen... Or the problem was that the HDD was connected?). Installation went fine, but when I tried to launch Homebrew loader from home menu, it did not work and I had to switch off the wii u.

Since then it always stucks during booting with failure code 160-0103.
(1) 5.5.3 E (2) WUP-101(03) (3) FEM107029348 (4)XXXX-02X2-2374

Is there a way to make a modification on the SD Card, or is my last resort a HW-fix (with soldering etc.)

thanks for the support,
Edizius

You should have done a little more research before upgrading to the latest FW, specially for those who are EUR/PAL region, have you read this post HERE.

Not sure if any info on this thread can help or not since you have already tried to fix/repair it yourself, good luck though, this is the reason why I don't recommend CBHC.

She's done for without a NAND dump. If you have one, it's possible to restore it with soldering. Sorry for your loss and the world's loss of one less Wii U in the wild.

hi,
I have soldering skills and the following files backed up before bricking:
"otp.bin", "seeprom.bin", "slc.bin" and "slccmpt.bin".

is there a good tutorial how to fix the issue?
I saw there is "Kafluke's HardMod CBHC Unbrick guide", but it requires a "Teensy++ 2.0", which I do not have lying around.
I saw it is also possible with an SD-card adapter, where I have planty here, so I would prefere this solution. But I have found no guide to this.
Can someone point me to the correct direction, or is the TuT of Kafluke the only one?
P.S. I would have several Arduino Unos, STM32F103C8T6 and ATMEGA328 Pro Mini and a Cypress CY8CKIT-059 prototyping kit flying around. Is any of them usefull, or must be used a Teensy++ 2.0?

thanks for your fast responses,
Edizius

Hi,
In the thread "successfully-dumped-wiiu-emmc-nand-with-hardmod" it is written that a MLC backup is needed for hardmod repair with SD card reader:

I assume none of the files "otp.bin", "seeprom.bin", "slc.bin" and "slccmpt.bin" can be used, especially as they are <32GB, correct? So Teesy is my last chance?

I just saw that i have ordered teensy 2.0 and that is different to the teensy++ 2.0

Will the "normal" teensy 2.0 also work?
