NOT RECOMMEND UNLESS YOU LIKE GETTING INSTANTLY BANNED LOL

Freeshop is dead just like the 3ds. Move along.
I’m talking about a home brew to use a web browser to just fetch and download files than transfer them to switch SD card or usb. I’m assuming the only halting process is possibly their is nothing allowing the switch to connect to any urls? However, I have not took anytime to look into it. So I could be 100% wrong.

Piracy on the Switch will never be as easy as it once was on 3DS. Any homebrew that uses Nintendo's servers to download pirated games is likely to get you banned, unless it's using a donor cert which will still end up getting banned by Nintendo.

If somebody figured out how to use homebrew to download from 1fichier, gdrive, or mega, and someone threw up a web service that spit out links (like that Discord server bot that used to...) then theoretically it would be possible. Still, it's likely that those links would be shut down very shortly. Alternatively someone could try running a server to distribute NSPs, but some other piracy site already did that and couldn't handle the onslaught of traffic. Such a system would be very difficult to keep online and usable.

basically what you are looking for is a dedicated server hosting switch game files, and a way to access that server from the switch. It could be done, but whoever is hosting that server will face big legal issues with nintendo.
