Hi Guys

Since installing CIA files takes a long time vs. just copying files to the SD card, I was wondering if it is possible to copy post-install games residing in the Nintendo 3DS folder on the card to a different 3DS system, or does the installation process also encrypt the games to be used only on the specific 3DS on which they were installed?

Thanks in advance for clarifying this

You can not do that. Once a game is installed to a system they become encrypted to that system. The Nintendo 3DS folder is also encrypted to that system. You can use GM9 to make a CIA of the games installed on a system and install that CIA to onto another system.

This applys to the save file as well? I am thinking of uploading 3DS save files from CIA installed games here and feel unsure if the save files can be used on other 3ds systems.

Well you need two systems on cfw, one system that has the game you wanna move copy of cia if you can't find them online, by creating a cia file of game you have installed and then move it to the other system sd card and install it via FBI.

If the save file is decrypted yes you can share them on the forum.

If you transfer the movable.sed then yes, it will be using the same encryption for SD card data. Only thing you won't have is the tickets but those can also be backed up then reinstalled with FBI.
There is also a zero key movable.sed floating around made for this purpose, but I don't see any benefit of it over just copying the movable.sed from another console.

GM9 Megascript (included with GM9) should have dump/restore options for movable.sed, and also has a ticket backup feature.
Once you restore the movable.sed on the other console, existing SD and NAND data will be made useless, meaning you should delete the contents of CTRNAND/data and the SD:\Nintendo 3DS folder on that console as they will just be wasting space. This will essentially factory reset the 3DS. Make a NAND backup first in case something goes wrong.

No need for BootNTR. https://gbatemp.net/threads/ctrpluginframework-blank-plugin-now-with-action-replay.487729/

I have a question regarding this but instead of games I need help with DLC, for some reason transferring DLC .CIAs from my old 3ds to my new 3ds results in the DLC on my new 3ds not working

Hi, I tried this but somehow I made a mistake.
what I did was I downloaded ActionReply.7z and Luma 3ds mod
after that I copy boot.firm from Luma 3ds mod to my root sd card replacing the original luma.

did I do something wrong?
is there any step by step instruction?

I also tried the NTR plugin from youtube to press 3.4 but it said failed. Please help me.
Thank you so much

I think you might be in the wrong thread, my post has nothing to do with action replay
