Unzip Wood R4 plugin to /_dstwoplug/ after downloading.
Download and copy Wood R4 to the root of your micro SD card.
Then run Wood R4 on DSTWO.

Using this plugin Is like a dual boot firmware ?
guys i have an old n5 (original R4 clone only 2gb size) and today i managed to boot directly into the latest wood r4 by decrypting _DS_DMENU.DAT using r4crypt, you need the RPG folder, the _DS_MENU.DAT decrypted and _AX_MENU.dat to boot the firmware, here are my files just in case someone needs to update their N5 (ive used this for years and havent bricked or blown a fuse, i know N5 isnt safe, using the wood firmware might be safer)

Hi, I tested this on my own N5, and it's booting. Though games don't seem to load. The N5 not being safe isn't a kernel issue, I was told it's a hardware one, so while the kernel doesn't matter, at least I can mess with this.
How much of the compatibility have you tested on this? Were there any modifications to the _AX_MENU.dat compared to the original?

The filetrip Links are dead. I have an R4 Gold Pro SDHC. What do I do to find the latest proper Wood firmware version.
Everything on Filetrip was archived on the Wayback Machine. For the links in the OP:
Wood R4 (.NDS) v1.62 Wood R4iDSN (.NDS) v1.62 Wood R4iDS Gold (.NDS) v1.64It sounds like you card probably can't run the official Wood though. What's the website and year? (assuming it's one of those cards)
If it's r4isdhc.com 2014-2021 then you'll want YSMenu, if it's r4isdhc.hk 2020+ or r4isdhc.com.cn then you'll want the Ace3DS+ Wood. If it's something else then a picture of the card would help, or just look for it's website on YSMenu or the flashcard-archive.
If you still require them since the archives do not allow you to actually download it, i will soon re-upload all NDS files in 1 repacked zip
