How can that be? It emulated the game cartridge and didnt install any files.

It installed files the moment you ran the software being emulated by the game cartridge. The files it ran are malicious homebrew(like a virus) that jumbled up your nand files and rendered your device unable to boot unless recovered using a nand backup. I know it sucks, I sucked it up and just bought a new switch.

1) you can recover your save files
2) you can order a switch tablet only on ebay for 149.99
3) you can chance sending it into nintendo and paying them the repair cost, but there is also a chance they will send it back and refuse you service because your console is hacked.

Bottom line and lesson to be learned: do a FULL NAND BACKUP before you run homebrew on your device to ensure you can not brick it running software that is not verified such as this one.

Did you, for the second time in a row, play a role in getting people bricked? Just asking.
Last time I watched and wasn't involved really. This time I made the bricker, and a friend of mine leaked it on [SITE THAT SHALL NOT BE NAMED] without my permission. I wasn't gonna post it, and was planning on keeping it private. I didn't mean for this to happen and I regret making this, and am unbelievably sorry for all of the victims...

I'll take partial responsibility since I did make it, but this was unintended and I'm sorry.

I'm not even mad at you, I'm the idiot who didn't backup my nand. What type of youtuber doesn't back his nand up when doing hacks.. I was smart enough to do it when I hacked my 3ds but stupid enough to not do it this time around. Lesson learned, I more-so feel bad for those who don't make enough or at least the same youtube money I do, and cannot afford a new switch.

You were jumping up and down on Discord claiming the SX OS crack worked and encouraging people to run it. You were involved.

I got a new switch, i went to my store and looked up the serials. Now my question, ive done my nand backup on 4.0.1 without anything on it full (around 30GB). If i update now to 6.1.0 over nintendo, and use sxos, do i have to repeat the nand backup thing for 6.1.0?

I believe the answer is yes because when the nand is restored it is restored for that particular firmware,(I may be wrong) also you may want to update using choidojourNX so you do not burn fuses.(That will allow you to downgrade again in the future) but that is completely optional.

honestly if you were involved in something like this before you should know better than this, let alone making yet another bricking app and letting it be "leaked" sure trolling I can kinda understand, dummy apps, even going as far as bricks that are recoverable, but purposefully designing brick code that make a console completely unrecoverable is very cruel
