"if you did not back up the .dB before the rebuild(In the DNS of Al azif there is a option for backup) .. then you will have to reinstall everything from scratch"

Hi guys, I'm having the problem.

I'm confused on how to use Zer0xff's PS4_db_rebuilder tool?

Can some help explain the steps?

  1. recurively clone this repo or download a Release
  2. start FTP server on the PS4
  3. run the python script though terminal/cmdline python3 fix_db.py PS4_IP
  4. wait for the script to finish, then logout of the PS4 user without closing the browser
  5. log back in and all your games should be there again
Done the following;

1. I downloaded the release_0.1.zip to the desktop and unziped it and installed Python 3.6
2. Started the FTP sever via PS4
3. I don't know what to do here?

Thanks

yes, get the IP from your PS4 and include it in the command line. Do not use the exact string "PS4_IP" in the command. It should look something like this:

python fix_db.py 192.168.1.100

Thanks. OK so I have chnaged the line to include my PS4 ftp ip.

in cmd I wrote cd C:\Users\Shaun\Desktop\release_0.1 and then wrote python3 fix_db.py 192.168.0.8 but it comes up python3 is not recognized as an internal or exernal command...

Thank you to KilWii, Sparkss, Frostbite189 for all your help. Finally done it at last and it's working great.

(Please note: My example ip below is using 192.168.x.x replace it all with your full ftp ip address.)

Here is a little guide if anyone comes aross this thread and gets stuck;

1. I downloaded the release_0.1.zip to the desktop and unzipped it and installed Python 3.7 (latest).

2. Started the FTP sever via PS4 (make note of your ftp ip address here example: 192.168.x.x in top left hand corner)

3. Opened cmd and wrote;

cd C:\Users\Shaun\Desktop\release_0.1
(this is the location of the release_0.1.zip extracted to my desktop)

followed by;

python fix_db.py 192.168.x.x

4. Waited for the script to finish, then logged out of the PS4 user without closing the browser (press the PS button and select log out) and logged back in and all the games were back there again.
