Wouldn't say almost, there are still a bunch of textfiles left, even after the update, I guess somewhere around 2000
. But almost all the pictures are translated, the only ones left after the update are the chapter intro's (and some pictures I found sometime in the mess, but can't find anymore, and forgotten to extract them lol). But it's nice to see a comment here that's not mine or Jasper's, then we know that we aren't doing just for ourselves.

Alright, here is the update! Way earlier then I expected, but i got a huge motivation boost because of the reactions here. Now it will take some time (again) before a new update will come out, because I have my exams soon.

- About 40 more puzzles are translated.

Whoops, that one was already translated I believe, but I read all the translated puzzles too, and didn't catch that one. Will fix it tonight, thanks! Edit: aaaaaaaaand fixed! It will be in the new update.small error right there
Playing the game is the best way I think, it is possible that I made a mistake with importing an image, and that will make the whole game crash when it would normally load. Don't think that that happened but it is possible. If you want you can view the things inside the ROM with Tinke, since the game has some other languages too, it easier to first remove all of the other languagefolders that are not named "en". And then repack the ROM and view it with Tinke.

New in this update:
The next update will hopefully include more translated puzzles, and maybe also some more translated dialog.
And also, when all the text is translated, they only thing that is not translated then are the voices, but maybe there are some people here who can help with that? There are 2 voices needed, one for Luke and one for Layton. Would be nice if there are people willing to do this, so the game can get 100% translated!

Since there is only text left to translate (around 2300 text files), it will take some time before a new update will come out. And also in 2 months college starts, so I don't think that I will have many time to continue working on the translation. But I really hope that it will be finished some time, but it most likely will take a huge amount of time before that happens.

Hello guys! I wanted to release a new update today, but that is not going to happen. I tested some things, and found out that in a bunch of textfiles i made the sentences sometimes a bit too long... So now i have to compare every single translated file with original file to make sure that all the text is showed correctly. I would really appriciate if someone wants to help me with that, because when i need to do it all on my own it is going to take a few weeks before I have compared and improved all the text. It has been silent for a long time, but i can say that I'm almost done with translating all the puzzles, only the hints are left to translate. I hope to release the update with all the puzzles translated early next month. After that update it be silent for some time i think, since school is getting busier. So when it is silent for a long time don't think that this has stopped, it's only progressing a bit slower. Also I saw that the translation has been downloaded almost 100 times, which is very awesome! But I also saw that the older versions are still getting downloaded too, is there a reason for that?
I hope to be back with the new update soon.

So, the mobile version of Professor Layton and the Curious Village launched today, and I can say that the file structure is the exact same as the DS version, so that will allow us to translate the Mobile version too! (Or atleast the Android version). But for now i won't do anything with it other then some tests when I have time, the focus will still be on the DS version first. Also, all the pictures need to be translated again, since the quality is better and they used other fonts. For now, here is a proof that it works:

- Some bugfixes with characters doing weird in the conversations, and a pretty weird bug were some invisible spaces made some errors.
- A incredibly tiny bit of new story text translated.
This update fixes the most of the errors that were left in the game, but maybe there are still some errors left that I missed.
And now for real, there won't be a new update in a long time I think. But atleast I don't have to look through every already translated file anymore.

I need a bit of help, I found a last image that isn't translated yet. It's a button in Granny Riddleton's puzzle house, can someone take a screenshot for me in the puzzle house? It need to have puzzles in it, I guess more then 1 page of puzzles. I don't know the exact context of the button, so that makes it diffecult to translate it. If someone can take a screenshot for me, it would be very appriciated! Also quick update on the progress: I found another image that wasn't translated yet, it was a diffecult one, but I'm satisfied with the result. Solved!
As of text, not much has happened there sadly, but I have vacation soon, so I will have some more time for this then. But still, don't expect an update soon, if there will be an update soon it will only include the last 2 images that I found, but I think that that is not big enough for an update.

Hello guys! It's been a long time since the last update, but I'm happy to say that a new update has been released a few minutes ago! It has a lot of story text translated, but it's still not done. All that is left now is one folder of text files, which has some of them already translated. Now there are around 600 text files left, so yeah the ending is coming!
