Recently, my friend's PS Vita got stolen in school, and luckily we were able to find the guy who stole it, and took things to the security. He got the PS Vita back but there's one small problem. There's now a locked pin on the PS Vita. I've recently installed Henaku on the system a while back and I don't wanna risk a factory reset, cause there might be an update waiting.

So, the question is: Is there any way I can somehow hack the pin off the PS Vita?

I know it's an odd question, but I just wanna do it without the risk of his hacks getting erased and such.

Well, if the Vita really belongs to your friend, have him factory reset it. It's the only way to get rid of the PIN, and there are tutorials around the internet about how to activate a lower firmware Vita without updating.
Once you do that, you should just be able to copy h-encore/Henkaku back over, as long as you didn't delete it from where you set it up on your/their PC, and it should still work, as long as the account it was created for is the one the device is activated with.
I could probably explain it better and make things easier for you, but just in case @AmandaRose is right, I'm not gonna do that.
Or, you could do what @MUDD_BR said and slam the thief dude's head into a wall a couple times until he tells you the PIN.
Personally, I recommend what MUDD_BR said, but with my modifications.

This is literally illegal. Get a a report from "the security" in writing. If the school administration does not want to get involved, talk to the police about it. Otherwise, you can file yourself in small claims court.

I've forgotten my own passcode before on an iTouch, so this kind of stuff happens to people. Rather than assume the OP is con, I'm just going to give some advice in case someone who has legitimately lost their passcode can fix it.

You have two options:
  • Boot to recovery mode and perform a factory reset.
  • Open the memcard/microSD on your computer and create a taihen config that loads TheOfficialFlow's NoLockScreen plugin. A config on ux0: will override ur0:, so this will allow bypassing the lock screen. It will not however remove the PIN, so you won't be able to set a new one...you'll have to poke around in the registry.
