Hi,

Recently, and due to cost of all the materials I needed to do the RGH, I went to a shop in my country that does this thing. My Xbox 360 is a Phat with Jasper motherboard, and they told me they installed RGH 1.2

The thing is that tooks a long time to boot, and sometimes my Xbox 360 doesn't boots. Rarely, my Xbox 360 boots instalty (I thought that RGH 1.2 could make the Xbox boots almost instantly?)

Is this normal? Is there a way to fix this using USB?

Thanks,

Its the timing file on the glitch chip. It needs to be tuned correctly. There isnt a way to fix it by USB. The chip will need to be programmed until the right file is found for optimal boot time. Its usually 21 for Jaspers. Also, depending on the RST point used, they may need to switch to an alternate.

Make your CPU_RST wire a bit shorter.
A lot of boot time issues are fixed by shortining the reset wire bit by bit.

So I think I can't do anything. I have no soldering skills, and I would need some JR Programmer or similar to program the chip...

Could be a lot of things.

Personally I test consoles before I ship them. So in my case the best timing file is on the chip. But.... Boot times can vary a lot depending on (for example) where the customer places the box. Right above a av receiver or a big speaker can make all effort gone... Having too many devices including the box in one power connector can make the box boot really bad. But like wrighten... I would get in touch with the one who modded it.

Another thing you could do is send it to a local modshop, ask if they can optimize it for you.

I have tried the Xbox 360 in many places, and using HDMI and AV cables, with the same result. The thing is that I had to ship the console to the modshop,(there are no modshops in my country) this has some shipping cost... so I think I'm a bit lost... I will maybe try to change the place of RGH and not some much things. I don't dare soldering, because I will break it for sure :P
