looks pretty standard, did you try it without the Ycable and just use your normal cable. the Orico enclosure i use to have worked fine so i doubt its the enclosure...
Yeah, when I tried running it with just the normal cable I could hear the hard drive clicking constantly.

Yeah possibly, my next step is going to be to try another hard drive.
So I partitioned the different hard drive which is a 500gb wd with 400gb fat32 32kb clusters with a ntsf 40 gb partition and it still says "Waiting on HDD". Something I have noticed is when I turn on the WiiU the drive starts running, but when I launch vWii it stops running. This makes me wonder if that is an issue, although it did that with the other past drive as well. Maybe I should use a ssd due to the fact it doesn't necessarily take as much power?

no because the WiiU menu loads games off a HDD, while the vWii doesnt, so it doesnt have a reason to load. you have a weird case thats for sure. are you tried swapping hte ports int eh back?

Where should I try plugging the 3.0 end at? There is a 2.0 and a 3.0. I have been plugging the 3.0 into the wii and the 2.0 into the wii or external source of power.
With r52, only the top port is supported, bottom port can be used for power only. I guess the 2.0 port is most likely the power one.

If you are saying to run the 3.0 in the top port and the 2.0 in the bottom then that is what I have mainly been trying and it has not loaded the hard drive.

I'm almost sure it's a hardware issue.
I'd say the problem is the enclosure not being compatible with the console. the compatibility is based on the "USB to S/ATA" interface communicating with the drive and the console.

Try another hdd in the enclosure to confirm it's not the hdd, then/or try another enclosure.

or, if you just want a working setup instead of understanding what's happening with your current hardware, then go buy a new external USB HDD, not an internal+enclosure.
WD element, or another WD drives should work fine. it'll fix your issue and win time preventing you trying to find the problem.

if you want to know what the current problem is, then up to you, but I think it's the enclosure ;)

Late last night I was able to get the hard drive initializing constantly through a hub where I plugged my hard drive in and it got power from a external power source. So I loaded up USB Loader GX and tried to play a wii iso. Loading the game however just blackscreened my wii so I turned it off and began to troubleshoot it more from other posts. I found a post where a guy said to put base 56 on slot 249, base 57 on slot 250, and base 58 on slot 251. However, this has now bugged out USB Loader GX by either not initializing the drive (Which I think I fixed my setting base 57 back on 249), having a blank UI when it loads up, or once I click to display Wii Games the whole application freezes, I can hear the clicking sound on icons but nothing loads. So as I have stated I tried to correct what I did by just setting base 57 back on 249 r52, but the problem still persists. I think it is probably the fact that I messed with the other slots (250, and 251). I will attach a system check as well to show you what I have done. I apologize for jumping the gun and trying to continue to work on this on my own as now I think I have put myself back on trying to get this working.

cIOS are not compatible with HUBs.
they are using a custom ehci module (usb driver) and it support wasn't added.

if you use IOS58, the hub should work, init the drive, list its content, but then you can't launch the Wii game.
You could use it for nintendont (which also uses IOS58, not a cIOS, to play gamecube games).

Your setup is now a little unuseful, you have duplicated version.
249 and 250 are identical. (both using r52 base57), and your 251 is using base56.

common setup on vWii is : 249/250/251 -> respectively base56/57/58.
but, like I often said, base57 has better compatibility than base56. USBLoaders are using slot249 by default (so, base56), and you can either :
- edit the loader setting to use the slot where you have base57
or
- install base57 in slot 249 (and base56 for fallback in case you find a game not working with 57 but working with 56) in 250.

If I followed correctly, your current issue is caused by the HUB.
don't plug the data cable through the hub, plug it directly to Port0, you can if you want plug the additional power cable to a HUB.

I don't exactly know if it is a HUB, but I will add a picture. Basically it plugs into the wall and has a slot to directly plug in a hard drive. (Which you can see.) It then has a usb that runs out of it and I have plugged into the back top port of the wii.

yeah, that's a hub.
you need to plug the HDD data port directly on the wii, no intermediate device between the HDD (or enclosure) and the console.
maybe it's a HUB with only one slot? (usually HUB are used to connect more HDD to the same USB port, but it may act as external power supply instead of multi-hdd switch)

edit:
seeing the picture, it's maybe not a hub, but an enclosure?
I don't know how it works internally, nor why it's so big.

I'm still believing the issue is that box, and the console might not work with it.

So I guess I need to use a different hard drive then that is not in an enclosure? This HUB has been the only way to get the wii to initialize the hard drive consistently and also what exactly do you want me to change of my cIOS's to? I have to get to school, but will pick this back up around noon and will start with changing the cIOS's, then I guess I will try to find a external hard drive in it's original enclosure. Once again I appreciate the help Cyan.

I suggest you don't try to use that (or any other) internal hdd, and just use an external usb hdd. One sold as a single item, not a drive+enclosure.

as for IOS, I suggest you don't touch anything.
you have both base56 and base57. You might not need base58 at all.
having base57 in slot249 is perfect, don't change it, and be sure your setting is set to
Loader's IOS : 58
game's IOS: 249
