I picked up one of these a while back without the software disc and the only way I could make it work was with some modified drivers and only on Windows XP.

Have you been able to run it on anything more modern?
There are no drivers for it for Windows 64-bit versions and already I don't think it runs on 7.

It doesn't work on Black for me regardless of using a cart or nds-bootstrap though, I have to register the access point in the settings for it to work but it says it's not supported. WEP on nds-bootstrap works fine though.
If you're using a DSi/3DS, it should work by default. Otherwise you'll be stuck on WEP/unsecured.

I'm using a 2DS. In order to go online I need to set it up and when I try to it says it's not supported. WEP works fine as I said, but I see people claiming that WPA2 works when it just won't for me no matter what...

DS games do not support WPA/WPA2 and I do not believe this workaround changes that fundamental criterion.

I know that, it's just that some people claim DSi-enhanced games support it so I'm trying to see if they are right or not because for me it doesn't support it.

Ah, yes, that's right. It has been a while, so I forgot it only had a 32bit driver. That was definitely a road block for me last time I played around with it.

nds-bootstrap does not support DSi-enhanced games properly yet.

DS titles don't support WPA/WPA2, but DSi enhanced titles and DSiWare do.

I'm not sure what to say, there's possibly some other network setting that's either not configured correctly or is incompatible - I've played a few rounds of the DSiWare Dragonquest title without issue using my WPA2 network. Are you using the advanced network configuration/setup menu or just the standard one?

Edit : Ah, post above has a reason why.

As I said, it doesn't work EVEN WITH A CARTRIDGE... That's why I'm confused about whether it actually works or not and if it works, how do you even set it up? When I try to look for the access point through the WFC (NDS Wifi) settings it says it's not supported. Trying with both Black and White 2.

If you're trying to set it up in Nintendo DS Connections or whatever it's called, don't use that. Games like Pokémon Black/White ignore those settings. Use the normal internet settings instead.

Quick correction: MOST DS games do not support WPA/WPA2. DSi-enhanced games like Pokémon Black/White support it fully.

If by "normal" you are referring to the 3DS's instead of the "Nintendo DS connections", that doesn't work either for any game, NDS games check the NDS connections, but just in case I tried and still says no supported access point in range (only one is my WPA2 one). How did you set up yours to make it work? Really confused here...

Is there ANY way to create a WEP connection using my PC? yes I have a wireless card.
Some wireless cards can make APs, others cannot. I had two that could make an AP and only one supported WEP for it. Also all of the cards could not simultaneously broadcast and be connected to a wifi. Check your model, manufacturer, and accompanying software.

I just have mine set up via the 3DS internet settings. Not sure why it isn't working for you.

This is amazing. Thankfully I got an old Nokia N8 I can use as a wifi hotspot.

Got Animal Crossing and Pokemon games. I also wanna try if someone can sent me that stupid letter to unlock that sidequest on FFIII.
