OP, you can always update your firmware to 6.1 via the old ChoiDuJour (PC) method. That way you don't need to boot to Horizon to upgrade. Do everything via RCM.
Gbatemp /threads/how-to-install-run-any-switch-firmware-unofficially-without-burning-any-fuses.507461/ (can't post links yet)

But BEWARE, the process is delicate and can brick your system if you miss a step or do anything other than the instructions explicitly tell you to do.

if you want to send me your boot 0/1 file I can pull the specific console info off of it and inject it into my boot 0 file and that should get you going again. Just did some digging around and found out where the specific console stuff is located.

If you send people your files - I'm sure they can extract info from them to use CDN tickets for downloading from ninty - and get you banned if you're not already. Personally I wouldn't send anyone my files, I'd try and fix my switch myself.

Not saying the guy above would do this - but it's you're call if you trust a complete stranger with your files.

you can email it to me sent a pm

as said by others I can steal your specific info I wont but the risk is yours
What the fuck are you talking about?
The risk is you, man!!!!!
He gives you his information, if they run away it comes from you!!! Not from him, you crook!!!

You are both in this story, if there is a problem there can't be Santa's fault, you are as responsible as he is...

Give me your credit card and your code, if I steal money from you, and you file a complaint, will the law say it's your fault? Bullshit....

Or you use a stolen scooter, it's not your fault, it's not you who stole it!! You use it, you're guilty of stealing stolen goods, period.

Dude stops taking your head, brings your switch back to the store, makes the warranty work, leaves with a new console, it takes 5 minutes, and no more problems, a blue screen of death? The after-sales service do not look any further, it does not work it is guaranteed, it gives you a new one, end of story

Digging around, here is more info on my case, could boot cfw, and burnt fuse number is 7 (upgraded the system to 6.1.0 before restoring but the NAND is based on 4.1.0) and unfortunately, I did not back up BOOT 0/1...

Is there still a way to save this?
So I didn't read the other posts, as it seems to be a trainwreck of ideas...
but what you need to do is:

  1. Build BOOT0 and BOOT1 files for fw 4.1.0
  2. Restore your 4.1.0 rawNAND backup
  3. Restore the 4.1.0 BOOT0 and BOOT1 files you built in step #1
  4. Boot using Hekate
  5. You should now be on 4.1.0 with broken sleep mode.
  6. Upgrade to 6.x (since you have 7 burned fuses) using ChoiDujourNX or however you want to do so.

You ARE AWARE that by doing that the person risks having their console Ipatched, thus loosing CFW possibilities for the time being right?

Yeah I know, if he leaves with a new ipatched console, he puts it in a box, sells it, and goes looking for a console in a store that is not patched, not ideal...
Okay, but do you think this guy's gonna do something for him with his 0 boot boot1? Or rawnand.bin? Have you seen or are you looking for these posts? I do....

Just did some digging around and found out where the specific console stuff is located.????

And what is this famous research being done? Huh? If he was so strong, why doesn't he share the result of his so-called research? In short do what you want, I hope I was wrong about him, but frankly people more qualified than him as sciresM would be more reassuring.

Ex here.

Has console A ran any cfw? If not in settings there is an option to transfer console to new console. This should transfer all saves and data to new console and unlink any old accounts.

Yes boot0/1 are firmware and console specific
I believe you can download 2.3 firmware and use choidujournx to downgrade the same way you upgraded.

This kind of message, if it were a good time, it wouldn't even have occurred to him to start.
Anyway, I don't care about anything else to do.

Have you tried just doing the actually recovery mode option Nintendo has on the console? you have to press and hold power button (hold it entire time) when the Nintendo logo appears then you have to quickly press and hold the plus and minus volume buttons and you should enter recovery mode.

Probably will ban you more than likely idk how Nintendo looks at this.

ok mais tes messages ne veulent strictement rien dire, donc je vois pas l'interet de repondre, hors faire perdre leur temps aux gens et leur cramer le cerveau petit à petit. (stylé ton emoji, lui aussi c'est google translate ?)

yea, but what you're writing is just not a language, at least not english, so I don't see the point, aside from wasting everyone's time, and contribute to their brain melting little by little. (nice emoji btw, is that google translated too ? because I don't get it either)

Thanks for the help, I tried this, rebuilt my boot 0/1 based on 4.1.0, however, when I was trying to restore boot 0/1 through hekate, it says "file size does not match"...any idea?

So upon checking, it seems the BOOT0/1 file format generated by that guide (1.57MB BOOT0 and 524kB BOOT1) seems to be different than the BOOT0/1 file format generated by a Hekate backup (both 4MB each).

Generated Boot0/1 files:

Hekate backup:

I'm guessing Hekate dumps the entire thing including zeroed out sections.

So for restoring that BOOT0/BOOT1, instead of using Hekate, just continue on down using the guide you used to make them (all the way down to steps 8.2 and 8.3 in the guide)

Then you can use Hekate to restore the rawNAND backup you made in the past using it.

I can confirm to you that the blue screen is due to boot0/1 not matching your fw.

It happened to me a few days ago when I downgraded and didn't restore boot0/1.

Although I did have a backup so the issue was quickly resolved. In your case I don't know. If boot0/1 are switch specific or if you can acquire/build them from someone else or other tools available.

Also i don't know if this is off any help but i couldn't restore my Boot0/1 using Hekate 4.2 it kept giving me an error. I used version 3.2 (which i believe is the version i used to back it up) and it worked from the first try.
