I'm on 6.0.1. Since I'm not using any homebrew right now, I only care about Deja Vu. Should I worried about this update?

Mike Heskin already confirmed that most of Deja Vu is still doable on 5.0.0+ (a couple of days before this 6.1.0 update)
Since it would appear that that the web browser was updated to remove an exploit that was also present on firmware 4.1 which happens to be the latest firmware Deja Vu privately works up to, it would appear Nintendo may have finally patched it out. Meaning if you want to use Deja Vu, do not update to 6.1. Although even if you do, since all 6.X firmwares so far carry the same fuse count, you can just downgrade to 6.0 or 6.0.1 which hexkyz has been able to get Deja Vu to work on.

How do you downgrade if you are on 6.1?

I guess if they finally patched it, we will see a release of Deja Vu.

Anyway, I don't even know if Deja Vu would end up being more convenient compared to RCM. Launching the exploit via a web browser maybe ends up being more risky compared to just booting cfw via RCM.
But for iPatched Switches is the only way.

Well it boot fine into RCM mode on 5.1.0, it doesn't work after I updated to 6.1.0, so board is fine, not 100% sure about the Jig.

The other person who reported the same problem, discovered it was his jig and when he repaired it then it worked fine with 6.1

But for iPatched Switches is the only way.

Of course you shouldn't upgrade these to 6.1, because you won't be able to downgrade them as the exploit doesn't work in 6.1.

I wish they'd bring out some cool new features instead of mostly bug fixes, as someone who hasn't used homebrew yet. I guess this is what Nintendo does hehe, I shouldn't complain too much.

I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work. In fact, I was on 6.1 using ChoiDujourNX and returned to 5.1 just yesterday.
I was on 6.1 with official (for an error).
Where did you find 6.1 for ChoidujourNX?
EDIT
Ok, made it :yayswitch:
