Lovin' the new Ozone menu. much easier to read in portable mode and faster too. However whenever I back out of the menu into a game I'm running, any borders from unused space (i.e. using core aspect ratios rather than filling the screen) become grey instead of black. My switch OS is using a dark theme and I'm using the default ozone setting that copies that choice.

Same here, but it's actually the background color of your theme, not just gray.

Anyone else having issues getting RetroArch to actual quit when you select 'Quit RetroArch' from the menu on the latest NSP build, it just seems to restart RetroArch rather than quiting!??

Its not a bug, its a feature
Just press home, press X, exit it. The newest version will run "Exit RetroArch" internally

Hi @m4xw:
I just moved my Mac setup of RetroArch (playlists, boxarts, etc.) to my Switch and it really works well. I use XMB and I love my Boxart pictures showing in my playlists, although ozone really feels right on the switch...maybe one day :)

However, I encountered a minor glitch: I want some core-specific configurations (aspect ratios and threaded video for psx) and i realized that by saving the "Overrides" in Quick Menu just creates an empty *.cfg file.
By manually copying the main retroarch.cfg to the core-folder and renaming it and applying changes in the file, the core specific override loads correctly. But by browsing through my playlists I got random crashes. After playing around a little, I realized RetroArch crashes if I have pcsx_rearmed and a game still open and then load any other non-psx title. However, when I close the psx-title in the Quick Menu, and then load another title, RetroArch won't crash.

Thanks and keep up the great work. Retroarch on switch is just awesome!

Ozone is the new menu driver you've been seeing around for a while

To enable it :
  1. Update your assets using the Online Updater (ozone assets are included in the bundle above)
  2. Go to Settings > Driver > Menu Driver and set it to ozone
  3. Restart RetroArch
Want to report something ? Please see this link first for a list of missing features and known bugs : https://github.com/libretro/RetroArch/issues/7490

Just to confirm when it says:

Implement missing features
  • Console tabs
is that the section where box arts show?

thanks .. ozone looks great

I'm sure there's a proper place to report issues we're seeing on nightlies, but I'm not sure where that is. Using Ozone, after pausing I have to press A once before I'm able to move the cursor, select anything, etc.

You probably opened a messagebox, which isnt rendered yet.
IIRC that can happen if u press + (or -?) in the menu.

this is what i did;

* Download and extract
* copy /paste onto sdcard:\retroarch\
* Overwrite all
* Run via Homebrew menu: retroarch-switch.nro
* Settings > Drivers > Menu > press A > select Ozone
* Quit Retroarch and run again

if you did the exact, my suggestion; get 1.7.5 Retroarch again, then overwrite the ozone-nightly
