it still works but with the restrictions outlined in the guide . . . my opinion . . . dont bother with it
Eh, wanted to keep using it since I also had quite a big micro sd card for it...

Okay then, thanks. I don't really understand how using EmuNAND foregoes the B9S entrypoint when you need that entrypoint to use an EmuNAND, but I'm okay with some things being slightly beyond my knowledge.
Next (probably last) question. My N3DS was second-hand; they formatted it at the shop and I formatted it again. But the MicroSD card still has about 3 GB worth of previously-installed titles / updates / saves. I know I can't use any of these on the 3DS, but I'd like to know, is it safe to delete them or if the 3DS is somehow still accessing them?

Actually I'll just make backups and try deleting it, see what happens.

actually emunand has been in use ever sense gateway came out with it (back when there was only 1 hax entrypoints for cfw) what it is is a safety net (a clone of your console on your sd card) if you happen to brick emunand your actual console was safe, back when a9lh came out we gained code execution very early in the boot process and b9s is called even sooner in the boot process allowing you to boot the exploit even in the event of a wiped nand and then rewrite a nand image and with that kind of power over the system a safety net is not needed unless you regularly do development/testing and even then its just a shortcut to a system restore like state

you could (depending on your 3ds model) just use it in the sd slot of the console . . . also if you want to use it you can follow that guide but then you must remember to never boot gateway from sysnand or else you will unhack your console

Are we able to safely update our games using the eShop? Or do we need to find the updates and install them manually through FBI? I read that, "if you have illegal/unsigned dlc, it will be deleted when you'll go to eshop" but I wasn't sure what they meant exactly by illegal/unsigned dlc. (Sorry, still figuring all of this out.)
Those must have emulator (Snes9x) built in. When you play those, do you have "touch screen for menu" written on the bottom screen? Do you see emulator menu?
I have a question on a close topic actually.
Let's say i've been playing a game via Snes9x (o3ds) for a while and using Save slot#1 all along. Would that be possible to take that snes rom and somehow, using injection/forwarding tools, make it into .cia with existing Snes9x save state OR in-game save state? So that, for example, i could install that new .cia on a different device and pick up the game from where i left off. I don't want to have emulator on my home screen, i want game titles, that's why i'm askign about .cia

Last week I got an Old3DS (never had a 3DS before), so, it has OFW 11.0.0U and I want to softmod it but I don't know what to do first... should I update it to the latest firmware o should I stay on said version? I have a compatible flashcart. Also, Is there any way to use the Browser and other apps without updating? (I currently can't do anything online because it is asking me to update)
What would be the best thing to do?

It depends on the last number you did not mention. If you firmware version is 11.0.0-33 U you’re lucky and can just use Soundhax. Fast and easy. If it is 11.0.0-0 U this will not work.
With a ntrboot compatible flashcard the firmware version does not matter. In either case just follow the guide: https://3ds.hacks.guide/
Last possibility: Update to 11.8 and follow the Frogminer guide.
a) If you have a ntrboot flashcard use 3ds.hacks.guide. Else update to 11.8 and use Frogminer. Install any desired emulators afterwards. For GBA games Virtual Console injection is the best method although N2DSXL can run mgba.
b) Online is not my special field, so I only repeat what I often read here: Do not cheat online, do not play pirated games BEFORE official release and turn off the settings according to the big red box here (scroll down). Then you should be fine.
c) N64: No! N64 emulation is a nightmare and from what I know, the 3DS is to weak to handle this. Neo Geo: Don’t know. Maybe with Retroarch(?)

AFAIK, it is still safe. Illegal/unsigned DLC are probably ones from freeShop or downloaded CIA.
I just had to delete the title and ticket of old update in FBI to download the newest one for Minecraft: https://gbatemp.net/threads/3ds-error-code-009-2920-when-trying-to-downloads-anything.520368/
I wonder if that's my problem right now. So far, every game that I've tried to update has given me an error message (a couple of different ones, depending on the game). One of the games was VVVVVV (interesting name, heh) and I even tried deleting the title and ticket and reinstalling it. At first I thought I might be banned, but I was able to play Mario Kart 7 online, no problem. Just to be clear, you said you deleted the title and ticket of the update itself, not the game? And then it worked when updating from the home screen?
Speaking of deleting things, I wanted to ask about the proper way to uninstall games. I've read mixed information about deleting them from data management versus FBI. Is either method fine?

How exactly do I import saves using JKSM? I can get to the point where I export saves, and edit them, but I don't have any option to import them. For reference, it's not launched through Homebrew

You mean like, restore a save for a game?

Okay I NEED your help, today I tried the new way to have a cfw on 11.8 with frogminer, everything was going well but when I installed B9stool I pressed home instead of powering off my device, so I got a black screen and now when I try to power on my device , it does the blue light for 1 or 2 seconds and then it turn off, that’s not my 3ds HELP ME ! ( I tried to formate my sd card but it didn’t work, I tried different version of Luma3ds, didn’t work)
