only nintendo licensed chargers as far as I am aware, humm, no I don't have one, I don't think I will be able to get access to one until next week, but I would like to get over with this quickly... mostly because sister's pressure "rolls eyes", that is also why I am asking, I would prefer to figure this out calmly by myself... but you see how it is with family, anyhow. Is is okay then for my needs to work with TegraRmcSmash TegraRmcGUI?, another thing... I am at a loss in what kind of file should I try to inject in order to kick the battery on and minimize possibility of messing up. Thank you in advance.
What is the switch doing when you try and charge it, any reaction at all? I don't know which program you need to load payload. I use android for that. I know hekate has a couple battery options though.

it doesn't charge at all, it was stuck the switch logo for hours according to my sister and then I managed to see the symbol of empty charge for a couple of seconds before if shut down completely, I wasn't able to get into the recovery options... since well the charge was completely depleted. So, I have seen a couple of videos and threads where they mention this solution, but non go into detail, beyond using a bootloader and the cable switch, not sure what I should inject.. ect ect :/

If it won't take a charge then hekate won't really hhelp you, I did find this through Google though.

I had the same problem. Here's what worked for me.

Plug in the switch so that you have the battery icon in the top left indicating that it is "charging".

Hold down the sleep button until it shuts down (12-15 seconds)

Walk away for a while. Leave it plugged in. Don't unplug it and plug it back in as that will wake it up. Just leave it off and plugged in.

Try powering it on after about 10-20 minutes.

Mine finally came back to life after trial and error resulting in these steps.

just as appendage, this are the instructions I have found

Step 1. prepare wall charger Step 2. run your payload (sx pro, TegraRCMSmasher, Hekate, etc.) Step 3. the moment the screen turns on, immediately replace and plug in the wall charger. Step 4. Wait for the battery charge notification to turn up, then the switch should boot normally.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

already tried that at least 10 times since yesterday, that is why I was looking for a why to do this other than that.

I am unsure of how to help as I personally haven't had this issue, sorry, but there are plenty smart people in this community to help though. You should probably open your own thread for this issue.

Thank for your replies guys. Just other 2 questions:
1. Will the games I purchased and installed in internal memories playable?
2. Is it possible to revert to non-modded stock switch?

If I were to use exFat for my SD card, does using tinfoil or dz run the risk of my card becoming corrupt? And in that case should I just use devmenu?

Hey guys just installed retroarch on my switch, I was reading that Lakka can run PSP games, I can't seem to find a PSP core in Retroarch though?

Is it available yet? I just assumed it would be as there are videos of it working with Lakka.

1. Yes
2. Yes, works best you make a NAND backup before you do anything else to it

Hey , I know this comes up a fair bit but I still am not 100%. Sorry about the repeat q.
Can someone please post a noob friendly step by step on me upgrading to 5.1.0 using ChoiNX but also factoring in gamecart slot version.

Context: switch on 3.0.2 upgraded from 3.0 using ChoiNX, i also enabled exfat support and autorcm at the same time. I'm running sxos 1.8. I stayed at 3.0.2 to avoid this dilemma but itching to play Crash Bandicoot.

Cheers!

You can use any legitimate games you purchased and downloaded from the eShop in CFW and OFW.

SX OS doesn't support the nogc patch so you're going to have to use a CFW that does support it such as Atmosphere or ReiNX. I recommend ReiNX as it is easier to setup the nogc patch. For ReiNX, all you do is make an empty file named nogc in the /ReiNX folder. Then all you do is run ChoiDujourNX and install whatever firmware files you put on the SD card. Be warned that it will override any firmware settings you have installed beforehand such as exFAT support and AutoRCM so they will have to be re-enabled during the installation process.

For starters, you don't install SX OS :P Any games you had before using SX OS will stay there and continue to work. They'll only stop working if you do something like uninstalling them or performing a factory reset.
