Between seeing a PSP game I want to play looking to be running perfectly and this tweet {if it means what i think}, I might end up having a, large capacity, FAT32 formatted micro SD card after all.

Hello, world
Well just to say that I expect some progress on lakka, because I can't promote retrogaming switch on my youtube channel, as long as the sound doesn't come out through the hdmi, capture video avermedia live portable gamer2, make lakka known on switch can be beneficial, but not much possible without the sound.Who develops lakka? Natinusala?
Anyway, congratulations, to open the emulation on switch, my channel is waiting for progress.

Final burn Alpha with the bios of neogeo inside the rom folder for me doesn't work. every game crash the console with black screen and I have to power off the console.. The same rom works perfectly with nvidia shield tv.

I'm not sure why, but my PSP core has just stopped working even though it's been working fine in the previous update. Whenever I launch a rom it just crashes. Same happens when rewinding or using save states on the snes9x cores.

Lakka is a Linux distribution aimed at turning small computer devices into retrogaming consoles. It is a minimal operating system using RetroArch as a front-end - it contains nothing more, nothing less than what's required for RetroArch and its 100+ supported consoles and standalone games.

And guess what - it runs on the Switch too, using the magic of ShofEL2 ! Prepare your SD card, boot the system and you're ready to go !

You can find everything needed on this website : https://lakka-switch.github.io/documentation/

I suggest you read the FAQ as it already covers common issues and questions. The official Lakka documentation can also help.

The system is not perfect yet, some issues are still present (audio through Bluetooth, wifi only working after a reboot...). However, it is playable and I feel like it's ready for a (first) release. If you want to contribute, don't hesitate to make a PR or message me directly !

If you want to talk or follow the developpement of RetroArch on the Switch (both homebrew and Lakka), feel free to join this Discord server : https://discord.gg/VZDWqXU

Enjoy ;)
what about gamecube?

I dont have much confidence on that, at least not this year or the next one. On the penultimate release you can try mario sunshine or mario kart dd for example, but playing it at 20 fps its not enjoyable.
Maybe in 2 years we can play something, i hope so.

Really, you're likely fine with 64gb for homebrew. You easily fit in all games from atari to snes/genesis and every game worth playing on n64, dreamcast, ps1 and psp (somewhat depending maybe how it handles compressed/zipped files)
At 128, you'd likely dont have to worry about compression at all and still have room for 3 dozen indie games.

Anyone knows how to boot up lakka with sx os? I format my card with fat32 partition, copied lakka accross, put sxos boot.dat and Hekate 4.2 into the root of the card. Boot the system up I see SX OS screen but i cant go into the SX OS Menu to run the custom payload. It just goes to a black screen.

I have emunand installed and autorcm enabled. Not sure if this is affecting things. My plan is to have two sd card, one for sxos and one for lakka.

What sxos menu are you talking about?

The boot menu when you hold the + key down and you can select a payload.

It still strange that even sx pro with its 2.01 boot.dat doesn't boot under fat32 file system. it works fine under exfat.
