Will Deja Vu not work on patched units? If so why bother holding to see if it works on mariko.

It will, depending on what firmware they ship with since Deja Vu is a warmboot softmod unlike Fusee Gelee. According to hexkyz, it can be made to work on firmware 6.0 hence why it hasn't been released yet.

Keep it on 4.1.0, there will be a warmboot method soon(ish). If you already updated it, then you're out of luck for the time being.
Also, TX have been promising something for iPatched units (but it's likely just the same warmboot method)

Could go both ways, they still manufacture new Switches in those colors. And after all the JoyCons are separate from the console so those could have been manufactured a long time ago while the console itself is newer. Plus, Nintendo can update the consoles post-production if they so wished.
It just depends on how long the seller (or whoever they bought it from) has had them sitting around in the box. Which is hard to tell without looking at the serial, which you can't really do when buying from eBay.
Second hand also is hit and miss but at least there you can ask the seller for more info to make sure. Most of the time second hand is safe though.
Why? Hexkyz ported it to 6.0 firmware already.

Good luck finding one of those these days though as they aren't THAT easy to come by
They get sold cheap on Facebook all the time. I LITERALLY got one last week for 200 AND it came with a physical copy of Zelda with case. A lot of people have their switches just sitting there collecting dust so they sell them.

Also making a new thread with the exact same title and description on the same day last month? Really? https://gbatemp.net/threads/i-have-ipatched-switch-how-can-i-do-cfw.518622/

Because he probably think's that thing's move faster but for a software hacks that allows hw are private or already patched unless we get something like loadiine.ovh we are very far away of getting the "easy way" ,so probably we are going to start from 0 when all the iptaches units arrive and mariko

I assume this means it will also work on 6.0.1? I am still on 5.1.0 and was wondering if I should update officially to 6.0.1, but still be exactly the same as 5.1.0 and not lose anything??
Well, since he used one of his private exploits in the chain, it's not 100% certain that he'll release the 6.0 port. I also think he mentioned he ported it to 6 before anything higher than 6.0.0 existed.

I think the advertised coldboot is for 4.x and below. I'm not sure there's any benefit to staying on 5.1.0, but I'm not 100% sure the 6.0 port will get released and work with 6.0.1+.

Thanks so much for your time in replying. This is exactly why I am waiting, as I too am unsure. The fact that the Twitter comment was made on Oct. 17, which was AFTER the 6.0.1 update came out, does have me wonder, however.

Because people want as many consoles to be affected. Why release something just for nintendo to patch it.
Can I make cfw to 3ds or gba?
