I have a 2DSXL which I bought that has already been modified. Its on 11.6, but Im looking to update it to 11.8 (which I think is the latest FW) can I update it to the latest FW and still keep the modifications? If so how would I go about it please?

Thanks - Supernoob!

@wormwood - Thank you! Ill go do that just now. :)

@wormwood - Thanks it updated no bother! Very much appreciated!

Though you should get in the habit of making a nand backup before updating the firmware since it is possible for a new firmware update to break things until CFW developers can catch up. I also recommend waiting for a few days after a new firmware version comes out until it has been fully analyzed. Fortunately 11.8 is old enough that everything has been fixed/updated that needed to be and 11.8 didn't have any other nasty surprises other than breaking Luma (unintentional, fixed with Luma 9.1) and NTR (which is standard for anything that updates nfirm).

my opinion on that matter is just dont update until you ask/read about it on gbatemp
