Now that we're able to use an USB drive like an external harddrive, SSD or USB thumbstick with SXOS -- is it somehow possible yet to copy XCI files stored on the drive onto the SD card in the switch while the switch is being docked? Any homebrew yet?

This function could help bringing back the portability into this particular setup with a hooked USB drive. If you are seated before your TV and the switch is docked, you'd be able to enjoy your big library of switch games (through XCI) -- without having to install anything. Then if you want to change to hybrid mode (for playing on the go or on the loo) you'd be able to 'quickly' copy the XCI onto the SD card, so you could mount it while you're on the go (or on the loo).

I know you can get something similiar if you have NSPs instead of XCIs on your drive. But with NSPs you'll lose the quick plugin aspect of just mounting an XCI through SXOS. Mounting an XCI of Skyrim is quicker while being docked than installing an NSP of said game. Sometimes I just like to scroll through the library of games and need a quick fix.

I imagine such a copy feature of XCIs from docked HDD to the Switches SD might be a very viable feature for a next SXOS update, non?

Any thoughts or hints yet?

I also +1 this, would be nice to have my main collection docked and a few games on the sd without their being duplicate games.

Adding on this maybe have a source menu as well, like hdd, sd or both. Again just to irradiate duplicates between the two
