I don't have a switch yet to test but I was wondering if you get an pre-extracted XCI or NSP and try to install it, is it faster then installing from the original file? Also does it require less space because technically if it is extracted already it just needs to be moved to the correct location without having to read / write at the same time and no need for double the space of .nsp to install.

I think you're misunderstanding something here; installing a pre-extracted .XCI/.NSP is no different than installing an unextracted one. The only difference would be it would be more troublesome to install a pre-extracted one since it will be in more parts than its unextracted counterparty. Everything else about them are the same; load times, space taken, double space on your micro SD card. This is because when you install a .XCI/.NSP file, you really extract the contents of it onto your system/SD card. So installing a pre-extraced .XCI/.NSP only skips one step of the process, a very short and unimportant step.

NSP container is not compressed nor encypted (the NSP itself, not NCA) so it shouldn't be much different in speed during installation

For vita if the pkg was extracted it didn't need double the space because it would just move the files to the correct space. I guess I will need big micro SD.
