Ok I want try this save editor I have two player ids on my switch. I saved the save file from the first id via Checkpoint, and restored it to the second id, my thinking was if I miss something up the original save from the 1st id is safe. So I have my save for my 2nd id and have transferred onto my pc. I want to take this slow I want to up my gold, and max out my core crystals. Once I have changed their values how do I modify the name so checkpoint sees it as a new save file? Or is there something else I need to do first? I think I have read all 26 pages of the helpful notes doing this right is important. Thanks!

Just replace the save file on your second id/account.

Quick question here : Is it possible to get rid of any trace of DLC with the save editor ?

I messed up with my switch, removed some title from xenoblade and save now does not load. Not matter the number of try i do to reinstall them, i can't load anything
i'm using cartridge game and DLC NSPs.

I messed up with my switch, removed some title from xenoblade and save now does not load. Not matter the number of try i do to reinstall them, i can't load anything

You need to remove the nsp DLC with Devmenu, the save editor only works with editing saves. Not sure if tinfoil can remove nsp I never used it

Are you refering to DevMenu, the tool that allows to install NSP, or are you talking about a different thing called "Devmenu save editor"

(Anyway, i know non of them for now)

My issue should be resolved if i can remove the flag(s) on my save to make it never having a certain DLC.
(The free one given with Torna's launch Celebration). I can't say how i manage to get this one since it's supposed to be obtainable through registration (but i never did anything like that)

I guess thats something only the OP can answer since he has better knowledge of specific flags. But yes Devmenu can uninstall DLC nsp entirely. Best thing to do is upload your save file since this will need to be looked at. All DLC nsp's are shareable so they don't really require registration. May I ask is this an XCI game or a paid copy? Using nsp DLC on a paid cart game will not launch in OFW this could be your issue here. If it is you can only play the legit cart in CFW as long you have those nsp DLC installed

The editor doesn't recognize my save dat. I used edizon to get a backup but the format of the save data is “MySaveData0” what can I do to get it working.

Thank you for your help! My characters are level 33 and I want improve my Poppi I suck at tiger tiger please me tell I can load her with ton of ether so I can do updates? Any one have suggestions on the gear I can equip her with so Tora stops dying so often. I found a number of YouTube builds for poppi but they were end game content, if it helps I have just had my first fight with Lila and completed the merc mission involving the green barrows.

Ether Crystal edit is on the first tab ("Main"), right next to Money edit :)
How's the progress going on Torna editor?
Progress had been very slow, until only now. Last week was the last week of my uni semester for lectures and classes, and all assignments were due last friday, so I was obviously super busy. I still have exam season starting in a few days though, so I have to study for (and do) a few exams before this uni semester is fully finished, but at least I now have SOME free time. The weekened that just passed was the first chunk of free time I had in a long time :lol:

And yes, I DID make some progress on the weekend. I managed to understand most of the data in the irasavefile.sav format, as mentioned previously by people, the file is based on the existing bf2savefile.sav format, but with an extra section added to the end of it. The extra section seems to be mostly Torna Character and Driver Arts related stuff, with a bit of other unknown data at the end. Dunno where the Community stuff is, a wild guess I have is that it could be maybe taking the place where Merc Group data was in the reguler bf2savefile.dav... but that is just a guess.

As for what can be edited in Torna DLC save file, so far it is not a whole lot. Remember how in the base game save, editing various stuff for Rare/Story blades gets ignored by the game? Well, seems that Torna DLC does the same sort of thing, except now that Torna DLC does not even have any generic blades for you to make super OP like you can with editing the base game save. Also, there is a lot of stuff used in the base game that is simply not used in Torna DLC. Obvious things are Merc Groups, Poppiswap, Tiger! Tiger! data, Ether Crystals, and Aegis Forme, but other less obvious sections are not used, such as a Blade's Set Driver, and a Driver's Set Blades (more on that below).

So far, out of the things I have tested:

Things I could successfully change:
- Money
- "Driver" 3 Pouches unlocking
- "Driver" Accessories
- "Driver" Arts (So far only Main 3 "Vanguard" arts, other ones not in editor yet)
- "Driver" Arts Weapon Points
- "Driver" Is In Party
- "Driver" Ideas (this mechanic still appears to be in the Torna DLC to some degree)
- "Driver" Skill Points
- "Driver" Stats -> Level (Unsure if game uses this though, level change appeared, but unsure if it affected stats or not)
- "Driver" Stats -> Physical Def. (Dunno if game uses this though, at least game did not revert value after loading and resaving)
- "Driver" Stats -> Ether Def. (Dunno if game uses this though, at least game did not revert value after loading and resaving)
- "Driver" Stats -> Guard Rate (Dunno if game uses this though, at least game did not revert value after loading and resaving)
- "Blade" Equipped Weapon (the weapons given by core chips, not a whole weapon type)
- "Blade" Favorite Pouch Items -> Whether or not it is known/unlocked by player
- Items

Things I could NOT change:
- Rest of the "Driver" stats not mentioned in previous section (game ignores changes and overrides with proper values just like with base game)
- "Driver" ID (Modification in save file would stick, but seems to be simply ignored by game)
- "Blade" Creator (Modification in save file would stick, but seems to be simply ignored by game)
- "Blade" Weapon Type (game ignores changes and overrides with proper values just like with base game)
- "Blade" Element (game ignores changes and overrides with proper values just like with base game)
- "Blade" Rare Name ID (game ignores changes and overrides with proper values just like with base game)
- "Blade" Common Name ID (game ignores changes and overrides with proper values just like with base game)
- "Blade" Blade Arts (game ignores changes and overrides with proper values just like with base game, seems to be replaced with "Rear Guard Arts" mechanic)
- "Blade" Battle Skill ID (game ignores changes and overrides with proper values just like with base game)
- "Blade" Field Skill ID (game ignores changes and overrides with proper values just like with base game)
- "Blade" Resource Data (game ignores changes and overrides with proper values just like with base game)

Everything else is untested and unknown. Perhaps I wll need some testers before release :lol:

As for that weird thing I mentioned before, the Torna DLC game mechanics blur the lines between what is a Driver and a Blade, and due to this, all the main party characters are BOTH Drivers and Blades as far as the save data is concerned. As a result, the data for characters is split in different sections in the save, parts in the Driver section, parts in the Blade section, and then the extra sections at the end of the save file. The main issue for me now is having to redesign and rebuild the GUI to properly group this data in a way that users can easily understand and edit.

Feel free to try out as many different things as you can, and report the results here.
Here is a small list of things that I guess would probably be considered "priority":
- Check that Torna DLC Save file loading/saving actually works
- Check that data can be modified at all
- Check that save file does not get corrupted
- Results of what things were modified + how they were modified + how the game reacted to the change (For example, changed as expected/didn't change/broke game etc.)

In particluar, since Torna Characters are BOTH Drivers and Blades as the save data is concerned, and the Ideas/Thought Cloud mechanic still seems to be in the Torna DLC but not visible):
- Check to see if/how Stats/Ideas/Affinity Chart editing affects the game (in both the "Driver" and "Blade" Modes)
- Check to see if editing "Blade" Mode/Blade-specific stuff affects Driver Characters
- Check to see if edting "Driver" Mode/Driver-specific stuff affects Blade Characters

And do not be afraid to edit "Unknown" values either and tell us if anything changes :)

Please be sure to report your results here, especially in the cases where things go wrong, or just get plain weird, I highly appreciate it.

Add item, money, weapon point for blades and drivers are working perfectly.

For me it always corrupts the save. I use standalone version. And I've noticed that before editing file size is around 99kb and after 81kb

Can you explain how Affinity Chart editing process works? I've never got how you can edit the affinity chart.
