Nsp is gonna be an instant ban. I was offline since I used cfw, installed like three .nsp and the first time I connected online, I was banned in minutes. If you wait it out people might come up with a solution but who knows, I guarantee if you connect that switch online you'll be instant and superbanned. Also if you didnt know, you can install update and dlc .nsp and use the .xci as the base game. Usually the updates and dlc are only a fraction of the size.

The only way you get insta banned is if you cheat online or used the old FreeShopNX app. Other than that, you are banned in WAVES. You probably got caught in one such wave.

Define "connect online."

Avoiding ban by never going online, making deductions off this practice, getting into online pissing contests while having partial knowledge and experience - yep, thanks Al Gore for inventing the internets :)

To clarify: bans could be instant. Could take time. A rule of thumb would be that we don't really know how Nintendo operates, so anything beyond the original usage methods (=not violating ToS by even getting into RCM once) could and probably will get you banned.

Self-ban by staying offline is silly. Stopping yourself from being disconnected from online services - by making yourself disconnected from online services.

A footnote: took me 12 days to get banned. All I did was to backup my saves with Checkpoint - haven't even had the chance to install NSP or run XCI files. Come on, argue with me that I'm wrong.

My switch connected to my router and went online. Not in game, just at the home menu.

Any actual proof to said claim? Because plenty of people have been banned within hours of connecting to the internet after playing a nsp, because Nintendo can see you dont own the game.

Thanks for clarifying that by "going online" you meant connecting without a custom DNS. In that case your statement is bullshit. I've been going online with NSPs for 3 months and I'm still not banned. I've used NXShop to download NSPs, I've redownloaded NSPs using Horizon's redownload software option, I update the system and games in CFW, and I've went online with homebrew and had many crashes to the black error screen. Going online with NSPs is not an instant ban. Unless by instant you mean over 3 months.

You need only read the reports my dude. You were probably caught in a ban wave

No custom DNS? Then you've just been extremely lucky. Does SX OS offer any additional anti-telemetry options that other CFW do not offer?

Probably. The one thing I have done is to make sure that I've never been connected when launching a game. Otherwise, I've taken no precautions. I'm sure I will get banned but I just need to object when somebody says that simply being connected with non legit NSP will result in an "instant ban."

SX OS has "stealth mode" but from what I understand it just blocks certain Nintendo domains. I always turn it off anyways because I update in CFW .

Even though you're using XCI's, are you installing updates and DLC or just plain XCI loading?

XCIs with DLC and updates as well as NSPs (games) with DLC and updates. Some NSPs were installed via an old NXShop and some were downloaded online. The only thing I've done to mitigate a ban is to switch to airplane mode before launching a game. I've been online while using homebrew and have had several crashes/errors. I launch eShop regularly to see if I'm still not banned.

I should have stated that I launched a nsp game while connected to the internet, and unless I have the worst luck ever, because I was playing the nsp and seen my wifi was connected, I exited the game, booted off, and tried the eshop, was banned. Literally minutes after the first time I connected to the internet after using cfw. But I must just be lying or something. You know, since that's not your experience.

Is there a quick and easy method to convert an NSP to XCI?

This is a easy Drag and Drop bat file that converts NSPs to XCI.

Just drag one NSP onto NSP_2_XCI.bat and all NSPs in the folder you dragged it from will convert to XCI.

Requirements:
Python needs to be installed. I tested python 3 but 2 should work.
keys.txt needs to be in "tools" folder.

**Update** Fix small bug in v2.0. If python dependencies installed correctly for you then no need to update to v2.1.

Just a question and not sure if you used it before but does this work better than nut cleaner that was posted?

From your post it seems pretty straight forward
