I've tried lurking around google to no use. I got a new HDD on my ps3 and i'm unable to install any cfw on recovery. It tells me to installa a 4.82 but i keep getting the no applicable data was found or data is corrupted as a added bonus.
I've tried:
rogero's 3.55 downgrade
Rebug 4.82
Ferrox 4.82

What to do now? Try a OFW 3.82? Since i can exploit it to install CFW?
I am unable to use the old HDD to boot since it is formatted right now. I have a slim model that can be downgraded to 3.55.

Well. I just installed Ferrox and i dunno why it installed but i ain't complaining. Going to try to avoid this issue, it seems like we can downgrade before swapping a hard drive. If someone wanna give some advice i'm still open.

I took out my 120gb HD and put in a 500GB laptop HD,
had to install the original Sony OS 4.82, then do the hack again (put on the flash482.HEX file),
then put on the hackOS4.82 , all works again!

For future reference, if you're on REBUG all you need to do is install 3.55.4. It'll downgrade you to that CFW then just update. Viola.
