Fusée Gelée works with all firmwares on units that are not ipatch... so if you’re sure on the serial number, it will be fine

Hi,
i have a question about converting xci to nsp, i have already downloaded 4nxci converter & it came already with keys.dat can this be used as from what i understand keys.dat file is unique to each console ?

Oh I thought you were referring to a system update. Outside of linking an account, I don't know of any way to remove that. Also the Joy-Cons work fine on lower and higher firmwares regardless if they're updated or not.
Uh no. That's only for LAN play.

How does that help with my question?

Guys, I did not make a nand backup when I first hacked the switch in April, and I have only done CFW and LayeredFS, and have not been banned yet. I want to make a backup of the good (not banned) nand that I currently have, then install nsps like the homebrew menu and that glide64 emulator, then back up the nand for that, then go back and forth with the clean and dirty nands if I want to go online/do homebrew. Do you think this will get me banned? I haven't been doing anything illegal, like downloading game xcis then converting them to nsps and then installing them. I'm not interested in piracy, and currently I don't have enough money for another switch. I think that'd work and I won't be banned, but if not, please let me know your guys' thoughts! Thanks!

It doesn't; an ethernet adapter can't send payloads.

Yes. Also, doing illegal stuff is not what causes a console to get banned; hacking your Switch is what gets you banned. Doing illegal stuff gets you arrested.

i know that lol. But is that a good way to reduce the chance for bans?

If you didn't make a NAND backup before hacking the console, it won't be "clean". And you cannot make it clean with any of the currently available tools.

Well at least it would be better than nothing, right? Also if I get banned it wont be the end of the world.

Also what would be needed to make it 'clean'? I'm just curious

If you didn't backup the NAND already, there is no point in making a NAND backup now since it won't be clean. You're just creating extra work for yourself for no additional benefit.

Removing all traces of CFW including stuff we know about (e.g. error logs, fake tickets, AutoRCM) and stuff we don't currently know about.

How big should be the NAND backup? I have a SD card that supposedly is 31GB (acording to my Mac Disk Utility lmao) but the Switch only recognizes 28.9gb, should that be enough? I know it's kinda borderline but can't afford a new one atm

Thanks! Do you think that someone in the near future will make a tool similar to what you're talking about?

The eMMC Raw GPP (NAND) should be 29.1 GiB

Most likely not since a clean hack-free NAND backup already accomplishes this and a lot of developers are not interested in bans. But its only been a year and a half since the console was hacked so I supposed anything is possible given enough time.

Yes, the Switch detects it as having 28.9GB free space, while my computer currently detects it as 31,1GB
This is just my hunch, but it might be misreporting the size in the Mac in gigabits while the Switch is reporting it in gigabytes.
Which means consoles with iPatch can't be hacked?
At the current moment, no.

Switch probably uses GiB instead of GB and erroneously calls it GB anyway. That's strange, as I thought Microsoft was the only one still making that mistake. OSX corrctly reports the size in GBs. If you reread Draxelexs posts, you'll see he uses the term GiB, which is not the same as GB. (Although he is mistaken, OSX reports gigabytes correctly, it is probably the switch that's is in the wrong and uses gibibytes while mistakenly using the wrong GB abbreviation.)

Guys... Can anyone please help me with trying to get FS.kip1out of a 4.1.0 game "Owlboy" in order to make my Switch see exFAT micro SD card eventually... To cut the problem short: when I drag-and-drop Owlboy.xci on the Patch.bat I don't get the process to even start...

I get the following, please help, I am going to cry soon:
"
Failed to convert C:\Users\╧юы№чютрЄхы№ to UTF-16!
ERROR:
Could not open input file
- System error: (3) The system cannot find the path specified.

I don't know... I think it is something that I haven't got installed on my computer or something... Any advice is welcome !!!
