Monolith Soft is recruiting staff for work on a new RPG

After the success of Xenoblade Chronicles 2, developer Monolith Soft seems to be looking towards new horizons. A new job recruitment page has gone up on their official site, where it shows that they're looking for a bevy of new staff, such as AI and graphics designers, character and technical artists, level designers, animators, script event creators, and management staff, for work on untitled RPG games. The webpage shows two different games being in active development; one of them being a medieval fantasy game. Siliconera translated some of the paragraphs of text, written by Tetsuya Takahashi, who was in charge of all three of the past Xenoblade titles. Within in, it's stated that Monolith Soft has been comprised of a small team that was having difficulties keeping up with work, so they wish to hire more people so that they can better balance future game development.

Siliconera Translation said:
The 1st Production’s motto is “the select few” and this won’t be changing, but Takahashi says there’s a limit to everything. While they’ve worked with much smaller staff compared to other companies, there was a number of problems that couldn’t be helped because of it, for example, if a team member were to get sick then someone else from the team would have to make up for it.

To give a better example, Takahashi says it’s like going to Koshien with just nine players or to the World Cup with just eleven, so should any unforeseen circumstances were to occur, you’d have the shortstop and second base take an additional role, or have the forwards and midfielders have an additional role, and so on.

Neat, also sounds like a great place to work. I wish other gaming companies were like this.

The company is also notable for its focus on promoting a comfortable working environment with little to no overtime in contrast to the majority of other Japanese game developers, alongside collaborating with other studios and companies.

Don't like a single game from this company or even any game like them...

WOW WHAT A HELPFUL POST. SO USEFUL. MUCH ON TOPIC.

Anyway... I'd like to see a new IP from these guys. I enjoyed Batien Katios on the GameCube and admire the ambition of Xenogears, but they currently don't own those IPs and therefore cannot work on them. Monolith Soft always makes off-beat, unique JRPGs in the gameplay department. Can't say I like every attempt, but their drive to be different from everyone else keeps the genre more alive than doubling down on the same old shit. I hope to see these dudes lead the industry one day. Square-Enix really doesn't deserve the title of being the JRPG Industry leader anymore.

So new project ha, means we won't see XC3 for the next 5 years.

That logo looks like something you see before a movie starts. :P
Much like a movie from the 80's.

I wonder, why even bothered to place your comment here? it's not like they want to hire you and you refused, right?

Its just my opinion on their games, sorry that I don't like any of them, take it easy:D.

EDIT: Now if we were talking about "Monolith Productions", that's a huge different beast, I enjoyed so many of their games probably starting on 1998 or 99 "Blood II: The Chosen".

That's very personal and more of something for a blog. It's not even related to the topic.
Putting such an off topic message on this thread is a very blatant way of looking for attention TBH.

Every so often you see these PR announcements - before the internet in game magazines, news articles, headhunters, job fairs, college courses, etc..."Video game design is the best, it's where it's at! blah, blah, blah..."
When will youngins ever wise up to the snake oil being sold to them.
