v6.4.2 (Rev 01)

What's new?
  • Acekard 2i's microSD can now be directly accessed! (confirmed working by Krebu)
(The cart should spoof Horsez for it work.)
To run retail games from the flashcard, you need to download the flashcard pack, and extract what's in "for Slot-1 microSD" to the root of the flashcard's microSD card.
As of this release, 2 flashcards are supported for direct access:
  • Acekard 2i
  • R4 Ultra (regular, not R4i) (r4ultra.com)

Hi, new to the forum so hopefully I don't break any rules here, but I've spent days searching google with no clear answers. Does the Twilight menu ++ offer any cheat support for the nds roms we play through it? Was playing pokemon pearl and wondering if there was cheat support. I have a new 3ds xl with latest luma cfw and twilight menu ++

nds-bootstrap itself supports cheats, but there is no cheat menu for TWiLight Menu++ yet, and that won't be implemented anytime soon.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm brand new to the DS scene, just bought my first one about 5 days ago (been into the psp hacking scene since day 1). If i understand correctly, the bootstrap cheat support is only for 3ds titles, correct? From what I read, it didn't seem that support extended to DS roms on our sd cards.

nds-bootstrap, not boot9strap.
The cheats are supported on the DS ROMs on the SD card. To use them, TWiLight Menu++ itself would have to apply them to nds-bootstrap's .ini file, but it doesn't do that yet.

My last question would be this. Is there any pro's or cons to the nds boostrap vs boot9strap? or are they the same basically. The guide i used to hack my new 3ds xl on 11.8 ofw was 3ds.hacks.guide/installing-boot9strap-(homebrew-launcher).From what I read on that guide, that means I'm running boot9strap? Does that mean I have no cheat support at all?

boot9strap and nds-bootstrap are two completely different kinds of things :) They don't have anything to do with another.

boot9strap is a 3DS exploit that is used to install custom firmware. nds-bootstrap is a software that allows you to run DS ROMs from your SD card. The homebrew this thread is about is a front-end GUI/loader for nds-bootstrap.

You have to set Slot-1 launch method to Direct.

Dear @Robz8 !

I have a 2DS.
There's this ds homebrew of a PC game, Knytt Stories, and I've tried many times to get it working with dsimenu, but I never succeeded.
I'm not sure if you've heard about it, or if this has been asked before. I never could find an answer.
I cant post a link because i just created this account for this. But just google dsknytt.

It has an .nds rom but it relies on an external "data" folder.
The readme says it's supposed to be put in the root of a flashcart. Where would this be with TwilightMenu?

Thanks a lot.

The game doesn't work from the SD card.
