It's a problem when you try to add problem to no problem Switch. Comprendre?

As i said before, it is no problem for you, but to others it is

Though since it is still possible to find updates and DLC without CDNSP, this is just a minor incovenience

Now the CDNSP is dead anybody call tell me if there is a easy way to check if your game is in the last update?

I would also like to know this also

If you ask nicely on the discord there's a master list often updated that you can cross reference to see if you need or there is a newer update.

There's also nutdb which can check only if there's updates but obviously can't download anything anymore.

There's plenty of efforts going on though to preserve updates for people its just a bit messy right now since things were too easy before and most sources had things hosted really sloppily.

The last option of course is grabbing the updates by going online with your switch and risking the eventual ban and dumping them with something like sdtonsp for future use.

you will get baned as your logs and other crap will go to Nintendo and flag you

I do wonder if they send their legal team as well. They do know which account used which game, they know which Nintendo Online account is connected with it, they have the IP and the time of access, if they want to they can go after every pirate personally. I'd actually be surprised if they don't and just keep banning the consoles.

I wonder if it would be still possible to update our xci´s without getting banned.
My thinking is:
You can insert a legit copy of a cartrige you own then you got the menu entry for that game. Eject the game and you´re still able to download just the update for the game without a problem.
Let´s say i load a xci via sxos, i got the entry in the menu. Reboot into OFW and it should be theoretically the same case as with a legit cartrige, how would Nintendo know if i borrowed the game or bought it etc?

That´s exactly what i was thinking, but i guess if they really want, they can block updates with xci´s too. The thing is, the xci is a legit cartrige dump. and they must have a token or something on the cartriges. If they do, they will see a lot of people from all over updating the "same cartridge" and can block it. I don´t know really. Is just a guess.

Yes and no. Every cartrige has a unique cert, thats right so far and we know that, but i really don´t think that this cert is transfered in any way to the switch (why should it?), it "stays" on the cartrige and the moment you go online with this said cartrige the switch reads it from there. I really don´t think that there´s any trace of the speciffic cert after ejecting the cartrige, otherwhise what would happen if you sell the game and someone else dumps it and posts it online with the cert? Imo Nintendo can´t use this as a ban-flag and they know this.

So, this is good. if we aren´t banned we can update at least the XCI via OFW. But, since almost all of us installed nsps, there´s a chance to be banned just by going online right?

Mhm, that´s the big "?" here since we don´t know what N really can see, if it isn´t a trace of the xci then it´s prob smth else what will get us banned sooner or later... :(

Lol what kind of a world do you think we live in where this would happen, you must be one of those people who thinks everyone needs a VPN and if you don't have one the police are going to come arrest you for pirateing sesame street or some shit.

Delete everything and flush your harddrives. It's the only way to be truly safe from cdnsp.
