Mame 2003 displays games at a vertical angle, is there any way to rotate them so that I won't have to hold my 3ds sideways?

Okay so is there any way to make pac man work on the 3ds? I just wanna play the original pac man (not puck man), but is there any way to do that? Have all builds of MAME 2003 for 3ds had this bug where it displays all games sideways and is there a way to fix this?

As I said, use Mame 2000 instead of Mame 2003.

If it's just Pac-Man you're after it might not be the worst idea to source Namco Museum (the DS title) or Pac-Man / Galaga Dimensions (the 3DS title) as both of these compilations contain near-perfect (to my eyes / ears) versions of the original arcade game.

Namcomuseum might not be the best idea for purists because of scaling issues (downscaled version of the arcade version while by default being upscaled with a terrible filter) but I'd definitely say it's a great collection.

Scaling issues of vertically orientated games on a panel of 240 pixels in height can be eliminated with the video rotated 90 degrees...but then you're having to play with your arms twisted to compensate - unless you're a monster who plays vertical shooters in a horizantal orientation - but I agree. The game itself might literally be the arcade rom it felt so authentic.

Namco certainly didn't mess around by hiring M2 to handle the collection so I'd probably have to recommend it just on that basis if I'm honest.

Well, interestingly enough. the .3DSX version worked. I wanted the .cia but, i can handle this :P
You did install all of the CIAs, right? Including the stuff in the cores folder? You could also try deleting the cfg file. I've had issues where I've needed to do that before.

Glad you got the 3dsx versions working though. :)
