OP
its a long time that i didnt post anything on gbatemp since i sold my switch , now i am back to buy yet another switch and i am searching for a good way to play online and use homebrew without getting banned

well i went to discord to talk to some devs of ReiNX and we had the same idea make a clean nand backup (yet bevor you launched or installed any kind of homebrew)
which means start Hekate (sorry if misspelled) Backup the Clean Nand without Error Logs etc

Stay Offline on the Modified Nand and Go Back to the Clean Nand to Play Legal Bought games.

i want to know your ideas on that case

ofc a clean nand can be useful once EmuNand is Released (talking about Real Emulation of Nand not a Clone like TX)

Yes it's well known as an option to connect online.
Emunand is a clone of Sysnand. They could be linked or unlinked between the two. The reason ppl hate SX's Emunand is they use USER partition to store the Emunand data. Some theories said Nin could detect its own nand data regardlessly.

indeed you are right , people on discord was saying the same (that TX Left an Open Door for Nin)

So the only good way would be Clean > EmuNand > Hack > Fun

Why the EmuNAND step?
If you have a full backup, there is no need for EmuNAND (if you would restore before going online.

because with Emunand you could simply switch between the OS without having to Restore the Nand all the time

The important thing to remember is that every time you decide to start messing with homebrew and CFW, make a new "clean" nand backup first.

Why?

Because otherwise continually restoring the same clean nand backup is detectable based on telemetry. We don't know all of the data that gets passed between Nintendo and the Switch. But lets say there's a field called "Last Time Online" (even if there isn't one, Nintendo could add it in a later update. Error logs and other fields can also cause a similar problem, this is just one example. So you take your clean Switch, let's say the date is September 1st, and you play some legit games online. You make a "clean" NAND backup, use CFW, install NSPs, play backups, etc. Then you restore your switch and play legit games online. No problem. Let's say you played online September 5th, and then afterwards decided to use CFW again. Then, September 15th, you feel like playing online, so you restore your NAND backup that you made from the 1st.

BANHAMMER!

Nintendo's servers last saw your Switch online September 5th, but after restoring your Switch, it thinks the last time it was online was September 1st. This would be easy for Nintendo to detect with telemetry data, and there's really no reason for them not to ban for it. So always make a new clean NAND backup before using CFW.

An even better option? If you're tired of waiting for a "good" emunand solution (I know I am!), go on eBay or aliexpress and order a replacement eMMC module. The board snaps off and on the Switch really easily, there's no soldering required! Make a clean backup of your NAND, restore it to the replacement eMMC, and then use that for all your CFW needs. Just swap them as needed. It's a bit of a pain in the butt taking apart the Switch every time you want to swap the boards, so buy one of those replacement shells for your Switch. Cut yourself out a nice little door you can use to easily swap the eMMC (you'll have to cut some of the metal backing too.) It's a good idea to

How? Obviously, if you update, you can't then "downgrade" without booting thru RCM. But you can then update again after restoring.
I don't remember who said that from the scene but it's about restoring the nand many times it may affect internal memory, it's similar to formating an SD card.

Clone? Do you know the meaning of the world clone?

Oh, this dude. Yea, maybe after restoring it like 150 000+ times, there might be some damage.
They can survive hundreds of rewrites.

TX EmuNAND is like a cheap copy (knock off) of real EmuNAND.
He wants real EmuNAND, which need partitions and such on your SD (probably), not just a few .bin files which are on your NAND.

Well there is nothing original to be cloned, and its also a different approach to what you define as real, thus, its not a clone.
