I may be wrong but porting to devkitpro based Homebrew libs and Android are quite different.

What? Not all phones are Android. Porting is porting. Of course the libs are different, but the libs are all open-source. I fail to see your point...

Porting is never trivial, but VLC is already open-source and is readily cross-compiled for multiple architectures and operating systems. It is no harder to port than anything else that has ever been ported. In fact, it is probably easier.

Because the codebase of the gamwcube/Wii mplayer is already very compatible with the switch one porting will be easier and quicker. Yeah porting is porting but source and destination obviousob matters when it comes to the difficulty.

Before asking for extra feature, at least let him finish his tool (in case it's not dead @XorTroll ? ) and have a working and stable release.
