Well, the xci of Torna just released. Still surprised the save editor isn't updated yet.
Does anyone know if whether or not the new editor ver is being worked on at all? Or the status of the creator?

relax and let the creator have a chance to get to it, also does anyone know if the save for XB2 is the same as XB2 Torna? like lets say someone takes my save for my XB2 to which i have not started Torna is it two seperate saves so someone can just download someone elses Torna file or?Sorry if this is confusing. Anyway if anyone has a complete Torna save or such i wouldn't mind it.

when you back up your save with checkpoint, it back ups XC2 SAVE and the torna game save. I have the physical version of XC2 and the season pass.
Um dude that's not what he meant. As for the xci for torna please do not ask here cause that is against the rules. Try to google it google is your best option

i think now is not possible to make save editor for torna, because:
1) files have different size, thats mean - dynamic structure or dynamic + encryption (prntscr[.]com/kxiurm)
2) i try to compare by text and here so many changes (98%) prntscr[.]com/kxiwuu (for previus XB2 prntscr[.]com/kxixvs and here not so many changes, thats mean - no encryption and all structure is static)
3) when i try to search some values i maybe find money (i dont test), but its 2 byte (max 65535), and this not correct, i can have more money in torna DLC.
4) when i search WP, i find 3 values (thats correct for jin, haize, lora), but 2 addreses have 2 byte (its maybe normal), and last have 6 byte float (or real, i dont remember) value, and its not correct. and when i try to find for mitra and addam - i dont find...

i compare 2 saves with 90min delay between them. maybe at next time i try to make one save, then kill one mob and make another.

Hmm maybe the save editor will be possible with the savefile of the physical copy of Torna?
Via checkpoint to backup save, the Physical-Torna savefile itself is not attached to XC2 savefile. Torna is literally a separate game and savefile.

I read one page of replies while checking if this is updated so let me help you guys out lol.

Torna saves are the exact same format as XC2. They are compressed using zlib, and then have a little bit extra data tossed on the end of it for Torna specific stuff. Should work perfectly fine to edit Torna saves with this program just the only issue the program only opens files of specific sizes. I've been able to use it by chopping off the end of the file with 010 and readding it after, but would be nice to get an update to at the very least support the new size and perhaps built in decompression and maybe even recompression. As a note for the author, the save files don't need to be recompressed for the game to read them. Also in case anyone was curious you can in fact just take the irasavefile.sav from the base game DLC variant of Torna and plug it straight into the standalone version, however you will need to set the DLC content versions in the save to 0 first or else it won't let you boot as the Torna Title ID won't have any of the DLC entries.

Whoa everyone, just chill out a bit.

Just a really quick update since everyone is losing their minds.

Regarding the Torna Story DLC update and irasavefile.sav editing...
The compression format has been figured out, like @Gr3n has said, the files are zlib compressed, and this is easily dealt with. Also, like they said, the savefile is mostly the same as bf2savefile.sav, only half of it goes unused (hence the compression), then it has the Torna DLC specific data tacked onto the end of it.

At a glance, it seems that most (but not all) of the new data can be identified, so adding support for it into the application backend should not be too difficult once all the fields have been figured out. After that, I would have to design and build a new GUI to allow for the editing of the new Torna DLC-related stuff, and of course, some testing will have to be done. Recall how the base game rejects changes to certain fields? Who is to say that Torna DLC will not do the same thing? Things like this have to be tested for, at least a little bit.

Additionally, some people have approached me offering to translate the app into their own language (since v1.2 of this app was released, before Torna DLC was released), so I have also been slowly working on building multilanguage support throughout the entire app.

So, of course, I stiill plan to make an editor for the Torna DLC irasavefile.sav, hell, I wanted to have it done by now, but...

BUT

All this work takes time, and unfortunately, I simply do not have the time to work on it right now!
I am a full-time university student, so my life is very busy with university work, and that is where all my free time goes. Progress is still being made on this project, it is just that is it slow progress. Once this current university semester finishes around November, then I wll have plenty of time to work on it!
But until then, progress will be quite slow.

So, in short, the project has not been abandoned, I am still working on it, support for Torna Golden Country DLC is already in the works (along with multilanguage support), but I am very busy with more important stuff, so progress will be slow for a little while longer.

So please be patient, v1.4 (and Torna Golden Country save editor v1.0) ARE still on the way. It will just take a while is all.

I used the information from above message to try and edit XB2 torna save i first used checkpoint to extract it. i don't know much about decompressing zlib files but i found a command prompt program called offzip so i opened a command prompt went to where i copied the backed up save on my pc. the command i input was offzip -a irasavefile.sav c:/outputfolder 0 i had to create the output folder first. i opened outputfolder in it was 00000010.dat. i opened 00000010.dat in hxd went to search then clicked G0 To i inputed 126d90 i then selected from 126d90 to end then cut it. i saved file opened it in xc2savenetthing had to change it to open any file no problems. i edited money and weapon chips for now saved it .i open hxd again then open file i just edited and saved in xc2savenetthing i then pasted what i cut from end back on. didn't need to recompress it game seems to read save files whether they are or not compressed. just make sure that you rename file after editing back to irasavefile.sav. its possible just to use offzip to decompress file edit the decompressed file in hxd or another hexeditor of choice then just save edited file as irasavefile.sav.

Hey guys so i have quite the problem. Currently I am on Version 2.0 and i tried to get some core crystals with the savegame editor. So before fiddling with my save I backed it up on my computer. After adding some crystals I restored my savegame and the game seems to not recognize my savegame anymore. What can I do? Is it because the savegame editor is not compatible with Version 2.0 or did i do a mistake. Btw i still have my unedited savegame and the game also doesnt recognize the unedited one anymore.

I found a weird thing that took me a while to figure out, while i was editing the blade's tab, i went in to change some stuff on Pyra, went on the ''Other'' tab and double clicked on her name, doing this the value of ''BladeArtsExH'' and ''BladeArtsExH2'' messed up, went from 100 on both, to 3 and 0, resulting on her special LV 4 (Burning Sword) doing crap damage (Example: i was doing like 10 000~15 000 dmg, now i am doing 10-100 dmg lol) i am trying to revert the values, but i can only change the ''BladeArtsExH2'' to the default value, i need to edit both values, if someone manage to ''fix'' this, please let me know.

EDIT: I give up, i cant fix it, here is my savefile, you can check the DMG output of Pyra Burning Sword
