I'm awful at these kind of things so sorry if it's a simple error, but I somehow got Episode 2 to work fine months ago and now this one is giving me some errors.
I unzipped it, placed the two files "DGS1-PatchData-v2.3.0" and "DGS1-Patcher" into the root of my SD card (outside of their respective folders) and attempted to run it via the "BOOT Firm" option under "Firm Image Options". It loaded into the patcher but wouldn't complete.
As it was running it told me "plain.bin. The requested file path was invalid" with the following afterwards.
"V:/autorun.gm9
line 56: apply BPM failed
applybpm $[APPPATH]/DGS1-Patc...."
I tried to do the same using the folder without changing the items inside, but the same problem arose. It's been months since I got this to work last time, so I'm unsure if I missed a step somewhere.
I have a legit copy of DGS, Luma is 9.1 and FBI is 2.5.0 so I'm unsure what the problem is, but I'm assuming it's something simple that I missed.
This error usually appears with bad dumps. Did you buy DGS from eShop or install a dump of a physical Game Card? One solution could be to dump the game again using the most recent GodMode9 or to uninstall it from your home menu and running the patcher off your Game Card. If it is an eShop copy, try deleting it and downloading it again.
Hello, I'm french but I'll try to explain a problem I encounter while trying to install the game on Android. I'm not sure I'm at the right place.
I did the 20 first steps on the page "Purchasing guide". I have the japanese player store now.
But then I'm unable to buy the Google Play gift card on Codashop. I try to pay with credit card but it is always cancelled. I entered the price "2520", chose VISA and put the address. Then I entered the card data, but it doesn't work. Is it because I have a card with euros and not yens ?
Can anyone help here ?
Thanks in advance and sorry for my English o/
We're still improving this guide, because what works for some people seems to be problematic for others. If you have Discord, hop into the FTI server and join us in #dai-gyakuten-saiban for quicker support on this
Hey, quick question about iOS—does it in fact not "exist", in that you ended up using a system that's Android-only for the translation, or are there just concerns about it requiring a Jailbreak?
My iPhone is Jailbroken anyway, so my security isn't being put any more at risk. Totally fine playing the game on my 3DS instead, as I have been until now, but it would be cool to have it on my phone instead.
There is a "proof-of-concept" version that is really just that - proof that it could be done in theory. It's not polished and doesn't have anything translated but the script. We have not researched all texture formats required for it and the binary does not have all necessary patches to get it to work. To bring it to the level of the Android version would require a lot of work.
We feel bad for iOS users and we wish it was possible to deliver a patch for it. The problem is that you are one of very few people with a jailbroken phone now. Most people are not willing to do that now according to our research. While it is possible to get self-signed apps to run on your device for 7 days using Impactor, we are unaware of a reliable method to dump the unencrypted binary for patching without a jailbreak.
Our stance is currently this: we're not ruling it out completely and we do keep an eye open for developments in the scene - but as it is now, it's not realistic.
