First timer here on GBA, so i have my switch with sx os 1.9 currently and i had a few questions regarding the directory, location of the HBrew menu and pFBA installation and rom location. So first I tried to install Hbrew menu via root directory and then creating a switch folder and dropped pFBA files in there and hbrewmenu would not detect FBA. I then moved pFBA files to root directory of my sd card and it booted. now my question is i downloaded this: fba 0.2.97.43 romset one has arcade and one has console so where do the roms go

figured out it was something to do with exfat sd card and when i tested on a 64gb sd card as FAT32 most things seam to work and load fine, so now my question how to get homebrew to work under a Exfat SD card?

Anyone know how to get 4 players working, as in 4 joycons ?

Edit
So I got joycons acting as single controllers but I cant get 4 player genesis games to work, they act as though there are only 2 controllers connected. Looking for advice please.

Edit 2
So some genesis games work and some don't

This is what happens when you have ONE emulator supporting more than 10K+ roms... Do you expect Cpasjuste to check all of them one by one?
Feel free to send bug reports and a list of non working titles to the dev or to Barry. (if the issues are Switch port specific or not)

@skydancer93 I also have it working on multiple SD cards, both arcade and console ROMs appear. I use a FAT32 SD card on FW3.0 booted through RajNX. Are your roms from an appropriate PFBA set? It looks for very specific roms so be sure they are correct, as that is most likely your issue.

Note that if it's not arcade roms, they go in a different folder. For example, ColecoVision would go in pfba/coleco. Info on that is in the 1.55 changelog.

My SD card is exFAT

I love this! However not kept up with emulators much..
What would you guys recommend to play NEO-GEO games, an emulator or the e-shop releases? Thanks!

would recommend emulation neo geo is great on pfba, also then you get original + lots of games. you could buy the remastered edition of your favourite games just to exp them in better grapics :)

Hi !

Finally, updated pFBA to use OpenGL : https://github.com/Cpasjuste/pfba/releases
  • use OpenGL for rendering, which allow some nicer ui effects, and of course, more power (thanks armada, fincs, subv... for theire work on mesa/nouveau)
  • point filtering can now be used in any rendering size
  • add a few libretro shaders (retro-v2, scanlines, pixellate, crt easymode, crt geom, sharp bilinear, sharp bilinear scanlines, sabr v3, xbrz, supereagle). Note that some shader will work better in integer scaling (2x, 3x), and some will have a better effect with linear filtering (sharp bilinear). Also, some are very intensive (crt geom, sabr, xbrz) and may not work fullspeed in some emulators (pSNES).
  • add fps counter option
