I should have clarified more, sorry about that. I downloaded an English patch of the game and it came with the .pak file but with no instructions. I use ReiNX and I am a total noob so it wasn't working and I'm guessing it's because I need fsmitm.flag to make it work? Again total idiot but thats because of laziness.

Maybe you should try to use the patcher and not to download an illegal pre-patched pak.

However i'm sure the file "fs_mitm.kip" is missing in ".../ReiNX/sysmodules".

Hi, and thanks a lot for your work. Whenever I try to patch the update nsp with heroscript it says I need the titlekey, which I don't believe exists for the update?

it does exist for the update.
Just check the .tik file inside the nsp. The titlekey sould be in 0x180.

Sharing it here is illegal, tho.

Sorry, I'm very new at all this stuff. I've got the nsp extracted and have the tik file, but how do I open the tik file?

Hex editor. Check position 0x180 there. It should contain 32 numbers and letters

So I got the titlekey for the update, but now I'm having issues patching the main game. I tried two separate dumps, both properly extract the NCAs but ask for titlekey when they get to romFS. I've checked the keys.txt and it has everything. Thanks so much for the help, and I apologize for being almost completely clueless when it comes to this.

Edit: Also, when extracting the NSP for the main game, the titlekey at 0x180 is just a bunch of 0's. Is this normal?

Is there a Key in 0x170 or 0x190? If there's no key, there's something weird then.

If you want to use both, the main and the update, select both and drag & drop them over heroscript.

Whenever I drag the XCI onto heroscript, it just tells me hactool isn't found. They're both in the same directory.

Yeah, 0x170 and 0x190 are all zero'd out as well. Trying to do both the main and the update, it still asks me for titlekey - I tried entering the update titlekey but I get "Something went wrong".

A XCI doesn't even have a titlekey, because it doesn't need one.

Strangely enough, even with an xci, heroscript is asking me for the titlekey.

It asks for the title key to extract the nsp of the update (so the patcher will join the update files to the patched pak), if you don't care about the update files will be overwritten by the patch files, simply drag only the xci over "heroscript.bat".

P.S. Be sure to have all the needed keys in the file "keys.txt".

I tried dragging the XCI by itself and it still asked for it.
Im pretty certain I have all the needed keys in my keys.txt file, but it still gives me that error.
