According to @sj33's posts (linked), what happens is:
1. Dongle injects the same old SX payload (same as SX pro)
2. the SD card has 2 files:
- New SX gear boot.dat
- ANY payload (e.g. hekate, SX OS, ReiNX) but renamed to payload.bin
So you COULD technically inject the same old SX payload, and anyone can autoboot any payload using the new SX gear boot.dat.
Not sure if you'd like your DragonInjector's payload switching to work that way, but it's one option.
Also it's closed source, as is expected from TX.

Not dead, still very much alive. As Mthodmn101 mentioned, my Type C connectors are a week late that I ordered over a month ago. If they aren't here by Tuesday next week I'll order some with priority shipping.
The project is about 90% done and discussion has more or less moved to the Discord server until the product launches. If you want to be kept up to date with all the little details, feel free to join the server.

yes...I don't have higher aspirations than buying a dongle.

The boot.dat from TX as been ‘sort of reversed engineered’ by @mattytrog that does an awsome work for the community with his ready to use UF2 files for dongles/modships

The basic UF2 files I posted are more or less a direct rip of the SX gear "forwarder". That's all it is.
You can achieve the same result by using SX gear boot.dat and payload.bin.
The only differences are it has been de-tx'd for those who hate TX. Files placed into a folder to keep things tidy, And fail pic edited. Very easy stuff.
For what it is meant to do, the code works brilliantly. Just to basic boot, send stage 1, and the basic "stage 2"and forward the request for our desired payload to load from SD. It uses 9kb.
50% of people do not like TX. So by making it our own, people might feel better about using it.
Their CFW has been crap of late... But this isn't. And it's ours now. Share and share alike??? Lol
