Whoever hacks his nintendo switch with a linked account ( credit card) at least 1 purchase, must be completely unconscious, to give his identity, his ip, his credit card number, his bank,His address, in case of legal proceedings, it will be easier, they will know everything about you.
Nintendo has your player ID card in its entirety, think a little bit before.... To commit the irreparable.
So why do people use vpn???? Where are vpn's used for????.......

Backup loaders and custom firmware aren't illegal just against TOS, would they bother to send somebody to your house to check....No

Hello. I restored a clean NAND to check whether if I am banned or not. Not banned yet.
I have a question. I restored this clean NAND I backed up earlier, turn on wifi, gone to eshop. do I need to create a new NAND backup every time I connect to the internet or eshop? Because I am going to turn airplane mode on and run CFW now without new clean back up. Am I good on the current clean NAND backup?

Depending on your custom firmware. I think sx os now has stealth support v1.8 and blocks all telemetry while in the cfw (If someone could clarify if this stays clean when going back into horizon?) Don't know about other cfw

I'll just quote TX for this part

"Keep in mind Stealth Mode is only active when you are running SX OS! If you occasionally boot back into original Switch firmware you may expose yourself to a ban risk if you have modified your Switch system by installing NSP titles for example, so we do not recommend this!"

So NO, if you later go online with official FW, you are NOT safe from bans. But keep in mind that the above is for NSP only. This is a quote regarding Stealth mode and XCI's:

"Playing XCI titles in SX OS with Stealth Mode enabled should NOT get you banned when booting/using your original Switch firmware online. This is why we personally prefer our Game Cartridge emulation solution, and so should you"

Yes, you will have to create a new backup everytime you go online because your original backup won't match what Nintendo last saw when you connected online.

As @XaneTenshi pointed out, you should not get banned when using Stealth Mode (unless Nintendo adds new telemetry URLs). Think of it like Airplane Mode but for Nintendo-related URLs. A better similarity is a DNS server that blocks all Nintendo-related URLs. As you can see, it doesn't actually prevent a ban; it delays the ban by making it impossible to be banned while using it. Unless you plan to use Stealth Mode or a custom DNS server with the Switch for the rest of its life, you are only delaying a possible ban.

Why did you send someone to my house? While they have my IP, just contacted my Internet provider, and suspend my line, they have the right, but will they do it?
I don't know, but they can do it much more easily than closing dozens of nintendo nes rom sites, and that they already do it in a way, that no one else before has done it, denied that it doesn't lead to anything,
if you want to hack, by giving IP bank card to nintendo, you do what you.want, then, if you're banned, you're going to be a big asshole to say on the phone to nintendo, "hello I'm a hacker, I have hack my switch, I'm a ban, please you can delete my account with his linked credit card? Thank you nintendo goodbye"
Just given some useful information here.
Draxzelex has already said it on a post here, delié the account before ban, is more judicious, or a fake account

For starters, I have no idea where people are getting these outdated ban report forms from when there's always a newly updated one in the OP as well as links to Google Forms. As an example, I do not know if you restored a clean NAND before going online (which is the first question on the new survey). Lastly, it makes no sense for you to have used SX OS and not list the lowest version of SX OS. Please list the lowest version of SX OS you used.

I think I would rather get a new card from my bank or open a new account then make that phone call

Hey, I just received this email from Nintendo saying that form firmware 6 you will not be able to unlink your Nintendo account. What do you think?

Hello,

On 9/18, your Nintendo Switch will be receiving a system update, version 6.0.0. Afterwards, it will no longer be possible to unlink your Nintendo Account from your Nintendo Switch user profile. Prior to this change, you should verify that your Nintendo Account or your child’s Nintendo Account is linked to the correct user profile.

For example, please confirm that the parent’s or legal guardian’s Nintendo Switch user profile is linked to the parent’s or guardian’s Nintendo Account, and that the child’s Nintendo Switch user profile is linked to his or her child account.

By ensuring that your Nintendo Account is linked to the correct user profile, you will be able to appropriately manage your save data, Nintendo Switch Online membership, and Nintendo eShop content.

I've been thinking about this as well. I received the same email. I always unlink my account in the eShop so if I was to get my banned, I would be able to have my games safe for another Switch. Think they figure people would take advantage of unlinking their accounts several times to use the account on another Switch

Yes, this is a direct side effect of paid online access. They have to make the Switch > Nintendo Account link permanent to prevent abuse.

Hello,
I just want to use checkpoint to backup some saves (for deleting some games on the menu without loosing the saves) and eventually put them back in my console oneday. I'll dont do modifications on these saves.
Am I risking a ban for doing that ?
