Has there been any indication as to what this update is going to bring/change? And i mean RELIABLY information, not hearsay
Downloading it is the first challenge. Then once its downloaded, you have to go spelunking through the files. They don't exactly include a readme full of all of the changes ;)

True true. At least not until it's officially out...I think, dunno if Nintendo has the habit of doing that. Well here's to hoping someone finds out soon, just so we are all prepared for it

There will most likely be another thread that details such changes since the purpose of this one is to alert users to not jump the gun when a system update is ready all of a sudden. However, I'll continue doing my best to keep this thread informed on whatever changes there are in the present situation.

so far ```6.0.0
~~~~~~
-New keyblob/master key
-New sysmodule, "olsc" (OnLine Save Cloud?), which handles online save cloud backup shit.
-Lots of new telemetry + error report fields (including stuff that seems to be aimed at logging CDN connection errors/CDN connection redirection, possibly specifically to detect pegaswitch usage)
-TZ got support for using keyslots 4/5 from userland, and a new type of titlekey was added for "elicenses"
-Generally, a huge es overhaul to add subscription support for online services.
-TZ adds a bunch of heavy deja vu mitigations
-Support for switch online -- huge online services code re-work
-Kernel was refactored in a big way.
-4 Toad Icons
-Probably lots of other stuff.
At least Nintendo let's us have fun by not including the readme ;)
I have insider info, from my highschool classmate's friend's uncle's brother-in-law who works at Nintendo, and I got a 100% REAL copy of that readme.
Here it is, leaked exclusively on GBATemp:
  • General system stability improvements to enhance the user's experience
You're welcome.
EULA. It's their service - you don't have a right to use it however you want just because you bought a Switch.
If I have a console, I wish to use it to the best of it's ability, whether or not that is homebrew or running linux and I'm sure that debate has been made somewhere beforehand...
But yes, it is the EULA, you are right there
